Research On The Political Participation Of Rural Women In The Context Of Rural Revitalization

Political participation is the basic feature of democratic politics and an important symbol of political civilization.Women’s political participation is a significant measure of a country’s democratic political construction and social civilization progress.Since the19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy has injected new impetus into China’s rural development and opened up new prospects.Rural revitalization is a comprehensive revitalization that includes economy,politics,culture,society,and ecology.To achieve rural revitalization,it depends on the efforts of farmers,and rural women,as a part of them,play the roles of builders and promoters in rural revitalization.At the same time,ensuring the political participation rights of rural women and enhancing their initiative in village construction and governance is not only an important standard for measuring China’s grassroots democratic political construction,but also an important task for rural revitalization.In the context of rural revitalization,this paper adopts a combination of literature review and field investigation,based on Marxist women’s theory and political participation theory,to clarify the complementary logical relationship between rural revitalization strategy and rural women’s political participation.It constructs an analytical framework for rural women’s political participation in the context of rural revitalization,and explores the impact of rural women’s political psychological factors on their political participation behaviors.Based on the results of the research,reasonable countermeasures are proposed for reference.The specific contents are as follows.First of all,on the basis of reading the literature,the author constructs an analytical framework for rural women’s political participation in the context of rural revitalization,and analyzes the logical relationship between rural revitalization strategy and rural women’s political participation: the rural revitalization strategy promotes the effective political participation of rural women,and the effectiveness of rural women’s political participation promotes the development of rural revitalization.Secondly,according to the analytical framework of rural women’s political participation in the context of rural revitalization,the rural areas of H town,X city,Hubei Province are selected as the social survey site,and rural women are selected as the survey objects.Through questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews,the author analyzes the current situation of rural women’s political participation in the context of rural revitalization,and explores the influence effect of rural women’s political cognition,political sentiment,political effectiveness,government trust and consciousness of political responsibility on political participation.Then,the conclusion drawn from the analysis of survey data is that political cognition,political sentiment,political effectiveness and consciousness of political responsibility have a significant positive promoting effect on rural women’s political participation.Finally,combined with the results of this analysis,in order to improve the current situation of rural women’s political participation and enhance their enthusiasm for political participation,countermeasures and suggestions are proposed: firstly,to improve the political cognition of rural women;secondly,to enhance the political sentiment of rural women;thirdly,to improve the political effectiveness of rural women,and fourthly,to stimulate rural women’s consciousness of political responsibility.
