A Practical Study On Developing National Ethnic Unity And Progress Demonstration Towns In Guizhou

Since the 18 th Party Congress,the Party Central Committee,with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core,has attached particular importance to ethnic work in the new era,and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on strengthening and improving ethnic work are the fundamental guidelines for the creation of ethnic unity and progress in the new era.The creation of national unity and progress activities is an important policy measure for ethnic work,as well as an important way to shape the sense of community of the Chinese nation,and has received great attention from the Party and the State.In recent years,Guizhou Province has taken the main line of forging a firm sense of the Chinese national community,focusing on the goal of "Chinese nationalities are one family,building the Chinese dream with one heart" and the theme of "common unity and struggle,common prosperity and development",and insisted on making national unity the top priority of the development of ethnic areas.It has achieved solid results and formed a series of experience and practices in the creation of ethnic unity,laying a strong practical foundation for promoting ethnic work in Guizhou with higher quality.This paper selects six ethnic townships in Guizhou that have been named "National Ethnic Solidarity and Progress Demonstration Units" by the National People’s Committee since the demonstration work was carried out,and based on field research,analyses and summarises a series of Guizhou’s characteristic creation highlights through combing the creation work of the demonstration townships and practical experience.At the same time,the difficulties in the process of creation are analysed and corresponding suggestions for improvement are put forward,with a view to providing reference for the creation of national model towns of national unity and progress in Guizhou and other provinces.The first part introduces the background and significance of the topic,reviews the current research status of the topic,and discusses the innovations of the topic;the second part mainly defines and explains the theoretical basis of the concepts involved in this paper,and reviews and summarizes the history of the creation of national unity and progress in China,and briefly outlines the current achievements of the creation of national unity and progress in Guizhou.The third part mainly compares the main highlights of the work of creating national unity and progress in the six ethnic townships in Guizhou province that have been appointed by the National People’s Committee;the fourth part discusses and summarises the results achieved by Guizhou in the process of creating national model towns of national unity and progress;the fifth part puts forward a few thoughts on the current work of creating national unity and progress in Guizhou in the survey.and tries to put forward countermeasures and suggestions to further promote the creation of national unity and progress in Guizhou.
