| The General High School Physics Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)clearly points out that "model building" is an important part of scientific thinking in the core literacy of physics,and that model building refers to the scientific abstraction process of abstracting and generalizing objective things,grasping their key factors,and constructing ideal models that reflect their essential characteristics.Improving students’ physics modeling ability is the key to developing core literacy in physics for high school students,but the current assessment methods hinder the development of students’ modeling ability.For example,the assessment focuses on the external behavior of students’ modeling practice,ignoring the implicit mental process of modeling and the lack of examination of the modeling process and the nature of the model.Therefore,it is urgent to develop assessment scales that emphasize students’ practical modeling performance and modeling psychological processes,and to strengthen the examination of the essence of modeling processes and models.The main tasks of this study include analyzing the components of physical modeling ability and constructing a framework for evaluating physical modeling ability;preparing evaluation scales and test questionnaires based on evaluation theory;applying test questionnaires and evaluation scales to test and evaluate students’ physical modeling ability;analyzing data to obtain the relationship between physical modeling practice ability and problem situations and the relationship between physical modeling practice ability and metamodeling ability.This study is discussed in the following aspects.In the first chapter,the background,content,method and significance of this study are described,and the development of foreign research is understood in three areas: the composition of physical modeling ability,the development of physical modeling ability,and the evaluation of physical modeling ability.Citespace is used to quantify and analyze the relevant domestic papers to obtain the development status of research related to physical modeling capability at this stage,and to identify the evaluation of physical modeling capability as an important issue that needs to be addressed urgently in China at present.In the second chapter,the core concepts of this thesis are defined: model,physical model,physical modeling and physical modeling ability,and Lopes’ scientific modeling ability measurement,Schwarz’ scientific modeling ability measurement and Fortus’ scientific modeling ability measurement are clearly used as the basic theory and basic methods of this study.In the third chapter,based on the General High School Physics Curriculum Standards(2017 edition),we draw on Lopes’ and Schwarz’s scientific modeling competency measurement theories to analyze the components of physics modeling competency,construct an evaluation framework for physics modeling competency,and design a test questionnaire based on this framework.Combining theoretical requirements and realistic conditions,the research subjects are identified,and the test questionnaire is revised as well as the test is implemented based on the experts’ suggestions and the results of students’ preliminary tests.In Chapter 4,the results of the test questionnaire for physics modeling ability of high school students are analyzed,and the reliability,validity,difficulty and differentiation of the questionnaire reach a good level.Based on the test data,the students’ physical modeling practice ability,metamodeling ability and the relationship between the two are analyzed to obtain the current status of the development of physical modeling ability of the test subjects.The reliability of the physical modeling ability evaluation scale is determined,the performance of the subjects’ physical modeling ability is analyzed and evaluated,the constraints on the development of physical modeling ability are revealed,and suggestions to promote the development of students’ physical modeling ability are made.In Chapter 5,the work of this dissertation is summarized,including the theoretical and practical innovations of the dissertation,the shortcomings of the research,and the outlook of future work.In summary,the research results can provide methods for teachers to evaluate students’ physics modeling ability;provide theoretical and practical guidance for students’ modeling practice;and provide useful reference for changing teachers’ cultivation concepts and promoting the overall development of students’ physics modeling ability. |
