Study On The Impact Of Population Mobility On Rural Revitalization In Yunnan Province

In recent years,the implementation of rural revitalization strategy has improved the economic and social conditions of Yunnan rural areas in a certain extent,and promoted the development of Yunnan rural areas.However,with the brain drain of rural areas and the aging of population,the problems of inadequate rural development,regional poverty and "agriculture,rural areas and farmers" are still prominent in Yunnan.Therefore,the premise of rural revitalization is the revitalization of talents.The main body of talent revitalization is the prosperity of rural talents,which needs the introduction of talents and the return of elites.At present,the two-way flow of population in Yunnan is obvious.It is of great practical significance to study the impact of population flow on rural revitalization in Yunnan Province,to guide the outflow,inflow and return of Yunnan population reasonably and to realize rural revitalization.Taking the population flow as the breakthrough point,this paper uses the census and the dynamic monitoring data of Yunnan’s floating population to analyze the situation of Yunnan’s population flow,explore the urban-rural flow pattern,and clarify the situation of returning population.Then,the entropy method is used to measure the development status of rural revitalization in Yunnan Province.In addition,the impact of population flow on rural revitalization in Yunnan Province is empirically studied by using the data of floating population,rural revitalization and related control indicators from 2017 to 2020.The results show as follow.First,the floating population in Yunnan continues to grow;the migration within and between provinces is increasingly frequent;the pattern of rural-urban mobility is diversified;and rural-urban mobility is still the mainstream of rural-urban mobility.However,the flow of "city to city" increased significantly and accounted for a certain share.The population flow of "urban to rural" also began to appear with the phenomenon of population backflow.Second,since the implementation of the rural revitalization policy,the level of rural development in Yunnan Province has been rapidly improved.According to the calculation of the county-level rural revitalization development Index,the level of county rural revitalization development in Yunnan Province has gradually improved,with the mean value of the index increasing from 0.16 in 2016 to 0.25 in 2020.There are significant spatial differences in the development index of rural revitalization.The level of rural revitalization is closely related to the level of economic development and regional differences.And the driving effect is obvious in central Yunnan.Thirdly,population mobility has multiple influences on the level of county and rural revitalization in Yunnan.In general,the smaller the net outflow or the larger the inflow is,the lower the level of rural revitalization will be.In terms of areas with net outflow of population,the lower the net outflow of population is,the lower the level of rural revitalization will be.In terms of areas with net population inflow,the more population inflow is,the better rural revitalization and development will be.In terms of economic development,the better the economic development is,the greater the impact of net inflow of population on rural revitalization will be.In terms of regional heterogeneity,in the net outflow regions of central Yunnan,northeast Yunnan,northwest Yunnan,west Yunnan and southwest Yunnan,the less the net outflow of population is,the worse the rural revitalization development will be;In the net inflow areas of central Yunnan,northeast Yunnan,southeast Yunnan and northwest Yunnan,west Yunnan and southwest Yunnan,the more the inflow population is,the higher the level of rural revitalization and development will be.And the promotion effect of central Yunnan is more significant.In the border areas,population mobility has a negative impact on rural revitalization.Therefore,Yunnan government should face up to the positive and negative effects of floating population on rural revitalization,and take measures for rural revitalization in both outflow and inflow areas,so as to comprehensively revitalize rural areas.
