The long-term epidemic prevention and control war has had a great impact on China’s economic operation situation and consumption pattern,has had a great impact on the fitness industry,which relies on crowd gathering and offline participation,and has also brought severe challenges to the operation and management of commercial fitness clubs.Service quality is the foundation of commercial fitness clubs.In the context of COVID-19,how to stimulate employees’ enthusiasm for work and improve service quality is an urgent problem for managers of commercial fitness clubs.Based on the social learning theory and the social exchange theory,this paper systematically reviews and reviews the researches on servant leadership and commercial health clubs,and constructs a theoretical model of servant leadership affecting the service quality of employees in commercial health clubs.The model took servant leadership as the independent variable,self-efficacy and service climate as the mediating variable,and the service quality of the staff of the commercial health club as the dependent variable to verify the promotion effect of servant leadership on the service quality of the staff of the commercial health club.In this study,509 valid questionnaires were collected and screened by questionnaire pre-survey,modification and re-distribution,and mathematical statistics were used to test the relationship between servant leadership and service quality of employees in commercial health clubs.The results show that:(1)servant leadership has a significant positive impact on self-efficacy,service climate and service quality of employees in commercial fitness clubs;(2)Both self-efficacy and service climate can positively predict the service quality of commercial fitness club staff;(3)Self-efficacy and service climate played a partial mediating role in the relationship between servant leadership and service quality of commercial fitness club employees.This study verified that servant leadership can effectively improve the service quality of employees in commercial health clubs,and also indirectly and positively affect the service quality of employees in commercial health clubs through service climate and self-efficacy.When the managers of the commercial fitness clubs need to improve the service quality of employees,they should first improve their service awareness,and then enhance the team service climate and improve the self-efficacy of employees to achieve the goal.The research provides a theoretical basis for the managers on the commercial fitness clubs to improve and enhance staff service quality,and is of great significance to promote the sustainable and high-quality development on the fitness industry.
