With the accelerating process of urbanization and the increasing aging population, the life stability and physical and mental health of the elderly have gradually become a problem studied and concerned by more and more scholars.Compared with the urban elderly, the rural elderly have a large gap in infrastructure, medical conditions and living standards. How to help the rural elderly obtain more living resources and improve their living standards is an important part of Rural Revitalization. This paper is a qualitative study on the involvement of social work in the construction of social support network for the rural elderly. The social support network is essentially a social resource network.By taking the practical work of social workers involved in the acquisition of social resources for the elderly in village Z as the research object, and based on the relevant concepts and theoretical perspective of social support theory, this paper interviewed the elderly in village Z to understand their living status, living problems and the current situation of resource acquisition,Analyze their resource acquisition needs.Starting from the actual needs of the elderly in village Z,work with the grass-roots staff in village Z and the social workers of GJ social work service center to formulate corresponding group work plans, carry out group activities for the elderly in village Z,help them strengthen the acquisition and utilization of policy resources, community resources, family resources and neighborhood resources, and improve the construction of social support network for the elderly in rural areas.Through the research,it is found that there are many deficiencies in the acquisition of social support resources for the elderly in village Z:first, the insufficient acquisition of policy resources, insufficient understanding and utilization of the pension policy and rural homestead building policy closely related to themselves, resulting in problems in the implementation of some policies benefiting the rural elderly; The second is the lack of access to community resources.Due to the inadequate grass-roots management, the rural elderly lack interactive places and opportunities in the community;Third, the lack of access to family resources, affected by the massive loss of rural young labor force, most of the rural elderly live alone at home or with their sons, and the access to family resources is vulnerable to family friction when they live separately or with their children;Fourth, there is still room for the development of neighborhood resources, and the neighborhood relations of rural elderly affected by the epidemic have decreased. Therefore, the intervention of social workers should be carried out from the following perspectives:first, strengthen the utilization of policy resources and improve the effectiveness of pension policy and homestead housing policy;Second, strengthen the utilization of community resources, improve rural infrastructure, and provide places for the rural elderly to improve their living conditions and interact;Third, improve access to family resources, help the elderly ease family relations and better obtain family support;Fourth, strengthen the utilization of neighborhood resources, establish an interactive platform for the rural elderly through the combination with community resources, help them broaden social channels and improve neighborhood harmony.Through four aspects of work, social workers helped the elderly in village Z obtain more social support resources and help them improve the current situation of social support network.
