After entering secondary school,the content involved in the "Ethics and Rule of Law" course is wider and deeper,and the difficulty of students to fully understand and recognize it in the learning process has also increased.In order to effectively solve this problem and make it easier for students to learn,teachers can fully apply mind maps to the teaching of the "Ethics and Rule of Law" course,so that students’ divergent thinking can be better cultivated.At the same time,the application of mind maps can also help teachers sort out their teaching ideas and better improve their own business capabilities.This paper uses the literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method and interview method to collect a large amount of relevant data,and explores and analyzes the actual use of mind maps in daily teaching activities.At present,there are the following problems in the application of mind maps in the curriculum of "Ethics and Rule of Law" in junior high schools: first,the promotion and overall application of mind maps in schools is not high;second,the teaching methods used by teachers in daily teaching are relatively old,and the role of mind maps is not fully utilized when applying mind maps,and the content is not comprehensive;third,some students do not have sufficient interest in the teaching mode of mind maps.The main reasons for the above problems are:the school’s recognition of the teaching mode of mind mapping is low,and the degree of promotion is not high;some teachers’ teaching concepts are backward,the teaching methods are outdated,and teachers lack teaching training specifically for mind maps;students do not have a more comprehensive understanding of mind maps.In order to better improve the classroom teaching effect of the junior high school "Ethics and Rule of Law" class,this paper proposes corresponding countermeasures:First,schools should further enhance the scientific and rational use of mind maps,organize teachers to carry out systematic training;second,cultivate teachers’ awareness of teaching innovation,give full play to the leading role of teachers,teachers should fully understand mind maps,open new ideas,and improve the practical application ability of mind maps teaching models;the third is to improve students’ interest in mind maps,better cultivate students’ thinking ability in the teaching process,and continuously improve students’ learning efficiency.
