| Based on the transformation of the main contradiction in our society, the focus of poverty in our country has also changed from a single income poverty to a multidimensional poverty such as health, education and living standards.Restricted by its own external and internal resource endowments, rural areas have become the most frequent areas of poverty and the "main battlefield" of poverty governance.By the end of 2020,my country has completely eliminated absolute poverty for the first time in its history. However, the problem of relative poverty with multidimensional poverty as its main feature has become increasingly prominent and has become an important factor hindering rural residents from realizing a better life.In order to achieve the second centenary goal and help the development achievements be shared by all the people, especially the rural poor,we must continue to pay attention to the multidimensional poverty problem of rural families. When combing the relevant literature,it is found that vocational education,as an important part of the development of modern education, has the characteristics of Inexpensive tuition, low entry threshold, facing the job market, and quick income return.Vocational education can eliminate the influence of poverty culture, increase the income of rural residents, increase employment opportunities, and realize the continuous reduction of multidimensional poverty in rural households by improving personal viable abilities and cultivating employment-oriented technical talents. Therefore, this thesis takes vocational education as the starting point to analyze the mechanism and effect of secondary vocational education on the multidimensional poverty of rural families.Based on the relevant theories of human capital, ability poverty and poverty culture, and based on the reality of multidimensional poverty in rural families in China in 2018,this thesis adopts a research method combining literature analysis and empirical research to analyze the role of secondary vocational education in alleviating multidimensional poverty in rural families. The path provides theoretical support and data support.Specifically, clarify the mechanism by which vocational education affects the poverty status of rural households;use the AF method to measure the multidimensional poverty status of rural households, calculate the multidimensional poverty incidence and multidimensional poverty comprehensive index of rural households;use the probit model to empirically analyze the poverty reduction effect of secondary vocational education,By setting different poverty thresholds for multidimensional poverty, using the logit model to test the robustness, and analyzing the heterogeneity of the samples by gender, age, and region of poverty reduction, and taking relative poverty as the explained variable for expansion Finally, the propensity score matching(PSM)method is used to deal with the endogenous problems that may arise in the empirical process;on the basis of the empirical analysis, the conclusion that secondary vocational education affects the multidimensional poverty of farmers is accurately summarized, and based on the research conclusions,it is proposed to alleviate the Policy Suggestions on the Poverty of Peasant Households. The main research conclusions are as follows:First, vocational education mainly affects the multidimensional poverty of rural households by promoting direct poverty reduction, helping developmental poverty reduction, promoting compensatory poverty reduction, and establishing long-term poverty reduction.Second, the problem of multidimensional poverty in rural areas is prominent. The proportion of rural households in poverty in at least one dimension reached 60.44%,and the proportion of poverty in three dimensions and above accounted for 11.70% of the total. The health dimension is the most important factor affecting the multidimensional poverty of the rural households.Third, compared with the labor force who no longer receive education after graduating from junior high school, individuals receiving secondary vocational education can effectively reduce the incidence of multidimensional poverty in the rural households;and compared with individuals receiving general high school education, secondary vocational education can alleviate poverty of the rural households. There is no significant advantage on the above.Fourth, secondary vocational education can increase rural households’ wage income by increasing employment opportunities for rural residents, especially by increasing their possibility of non-agricultural employment, thereby achieving effective poverty reduction.Fifth, the effect of secondary vocational education on poverty reduction for women is more significant than that for men;the effect on poverty reduction for rural residents aged 40 and above is more significant; The role of vocational education in poverty reduction is more obvious in poor areas;the poverty reduction effect in middle-income areas is more significant than that in low-income and high-income areas. In response to the research conclusions, this paper puts forward five policy suggestions: first, the financial support and strong investment boost the quality and efficiency of secondary vocational education;second, deepen the integration mechanism of production and teaching in secondary vocational education;third, strengthen the multi-dimensional poverty risk of farmers Construction of preventive mechanisms;fourth, improve the top-level design of the poverty reduction mechanism in secondary vocational education;fifth, unblock the role mechanism of poverty reduction in secondary vocational education. |
