| Probability and statistics are the learning contents of junior middle school mathematics to college mathematics,which plays a positive role in the cultivation of students’ key thinking and ability.At the same time,probability and statistics are closely combined with social life and are an important tool for decision-making on many problems in life.However,there are many concepts in probability and statistics,involving more classical models and formulas.It is difficult for high school students to understand and remember,and statistical thinking is different from mathematical thinking,which is not suitable for students and easy to make mistakes in the process of learning.Therefore,it is of great significance to give full play to the positive value of errors in the teaching process.The research object of this study is senior three students,because the knowledge of senior three students covers all the contents of senior high school.In order to accurately grasp the types and causes of students’ errors in probability and statistics learning,this study collects data through interviews and test papers.The interview is divided into two parts.The first part is about the typical mistakes of students in the process of probability and statistics learning;The second part of the interview is the causes of errors and coping strategies.Based on the results of the first part of the interview,the types of students’ errors in probability and statistics learning are preliminarily determined,and the test paper is designed on this basis.Then the backbone teachers are invited to demonstrate the test paper,find a small number of students for pre-test,and then test a large number of students to further diagnose students’ errors in probability and statistics learning.Then,this study analyzes the results of students’ test paper,understands students’ learning level of probability and statistics and the causes of errors according to SOLO classification theory,and interviews teachers in the second part.According to the results of test paper analysis and teachers’ interview,students’ fault causes and coping strategies are obtained.Finally,this study found that the typical errors of senior high school students in the process of probability and statistics learning mainly include: the confusion between binomial distribution and hypergeometric distribution,the wrong value of random variables,the wrong probability calculation of stop problems in the distribution column of random variables,the wrong calculation of correlation coefficient and regression linear equation,and the wrong selection and calculation of nonlinear regression equation model.The main reasons are: the foundation is not solid,the understanding of the meaning of practical problems is not in place,the thinking is one-sided,the calculation ability is poor,and the transformation and transformation thought is lack.Then,combined with the research results and literature research,this paper puts forward some countermeasures: tamping the foundation,paying attention to problem examination,special teaching,summarizing and reflection,optimizing calculation and paying attention to checking calculation.An example of teaching design is given to reduce errors and improve teaching effect. |
