The results of social psychology survey show that EQ determines people’s psychology and life state to a great extent,including career,marriage,interpersonal communication,the ability to resist psychological frustration and so on.Therefore,most people have realized that EQ is more critical than IQ in the development of human life.Therefore,training in physical education curriculum is of great significance to the development of students’ Eq.Scientific research proves that the teaching mode of small group physical education has great influence and wide application range.Therefore,the author studies whether the teaching mode of group physical education can promote the development of eq of junior high school students,and provides practical basis for the development of EQ of junior high school students.Using literature research method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics analysis method,expert interview method,logical analysis method and experimental method,this paper studies the impact of group physical education teaching mode on junior middle school students’ Eq.In the experiment,the school selected two teaching classes in torch No.1 Middle School of Guangdong Zhongshan Memorial Middle School as the experimental object,divided them into experimental group and regulate group,and carried out a 12 week football teaching experiment according to the requirements of the school’s sports middle school entrance examination.For the firtst group we using "small group" teaching mode,and forregulate group,we using the traditional teaching methods.The results are as follows:(1)After the experiment,the P value of the comparison between the experimental group and the control group in the level of social adaptation is less than 0.01,indicating that there is a significant difference in the level of social adaptation between the experimental group and the control group,and the social adaptation score of the experimental group is higher than that of the control group,and the social adaptation level of the experimental group is significantly improved.It shows that small group sports teaching model can promote the development of junior high school students’ social adaptability.after the experiment group and control group on the character level contrast P value is less than0.01,shows that after the experiment group and control group hadsignificant difference in character level,and the experimental group will quality score will quality scores higher than the control group,experimental group will quality levels increase significantly,that small group teaching model sports can promote the development of junior high school students will quality.(2)after the experiment group and control group on the level of independence contrast P value is less than 0.01,shows that after the experiment group and control group have significant differences in level of independence,independence and the experimental group score,score higher than the control group independence independence group increase significantly,that small group teaching model can promote the development of junior high school students independence.(3)After the experiment,the P value of the experimental group and the control group in interpersonal skills is less than 0.01,indicating that there is a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in interpersonal skills.and the score of the experimental group in interpersonal communication ability is higher than that of the control group,the experimental group has a significant improvement in interpersonal communication ability.It shows that small group PE teaching model can promote the development of junior high school students’ interpersonal communication ability.(4)After the experiment,the P value of the comparison between the experimental group and the control group was < 0.01,indicating that there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group.The mental health level score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,and the mental health level of the experimental group was significantly improved.It shows that small group sports teaching model can promote the development of junior middle school students’ mental health level.Thus,small group model of physical education in junior middle school students mental health,social adaptability and independence,interpersonal skills and will quality plays an important role in the development,show that the model can promote the development of emotional intelligence in junior high school students,the teaching effect is superior to the traditional teaching mode,suggest that in future school sports used more in class.
