Today,with the rapid development of information technology,electronic games have gained a field in the field of entertainment and culture by virtue of their immersive experience and interactive artistry,the integration of Video Games into school education has become a research hotspot of many education scholars.Educational games have attracted the attention of more and more experts,scholars and teachers.Many experts and scholars show that using educational games to carry out teaching activities can effectively stimulate students’ learning interest and improve teaching efficiency.Nowadays,the field of education is setting off a new educational reform by the new media.In order to use the new teaching method of educational game in classroom teaching,we must find the entry point that educational game teaching is better than traditional teaching.This study takes the combination of educational game and junior middle school geography teaching as an example.This study first elaborated the research background,research purpose and significance,research methods,etc.,and analyzed and summarized the current situation of the theory,practice and application of educational games at home and abroad through literature research,and discussed the relevant concepts of educational games and the theoretical basis of this study.Second before education game design and development,this study through to the junior middle school geography discipline characteristics of learning and teaching content were analyzed,and the combination of education games into the application value of the junior high school geography teaching,demand for teachers and students in the interview and questionnaire survey,analysis summarized the introduction of the necessity of the junior high school geography teaching and the excellent education game.Then research based on the research of design method to choose the junior middle school geography "meet five basic terrain" knowledge as the core content of geography education game design and development of education game development,and use education game to the actual teaching process,through the questionnaire method and experimental method of the overall evaluation of the effect of application of the game.Finally,the comparison data between the questionnaire results and students’ scores shows that students’ interest in learning has been improved,and the design of teaching strategies and the cooperation of educational games can better solve the key points and difficulties in teaching.Compared with traditional teaching,students’ mastery of knowledge and efficiency of classroom learning have been improved to a certain extent.The geography education game designed and developed according to "Understanding the Five Basic Terrains" has been favored and affirmed by teachers and students.Will,therefore,is education game applied to junior high school geography classroom teaching has a practical value,help to increase the learning interest,improve students’ interest in geography learning,stimulate students’ learning motivation,promote students’ learning into degrees,let students enjoy the learning process,efficient,complete the teaching goal,teaching practice have achieved satisfactory teaching effect.
