The Ministry of Education’s junior high school language textbook attaches importance to the preparation of "small figures",and for the first time,the third unit of the second book of the seventh grade is set up as a unit of "little figures",and the concept of "small figures" is defined.In the introduction of the unit,students are prompted to pay attention to the image of "small figures" in the reading aid system.The large number and proportion of "small figures" in the textbook make them an important part of language teaching.The "small figures" are usually ordinary people with low social status,but their status is low,but their humanistic connotation and teaching value are not small.The process of learning and understanding the images of "small figures" is also a process of constructing and using language,developing and improving thinking,appreciating and creating aesthetics,and understanding and passing on culture.Based on this,the text is based on the actual language teaching,and takes the image of "small figures" in the junior high school language textbook of the Ministry of Education as the research object,and uses literature analysis,statistics and questionnaires to collect and organize relevant literature to support the thesis.First of all,we will outline the images of "small figures" in the textbooks and the selected texts,analyze the number of selected texts,reading types and unit themes,sort out and classify the images of "small figures",and analyze their teaching value in cultivating students’ core language literacy.The aim is to grasp the images of "small figures" in the textbook as a whole.Secondly,we investigate the current situation of teaching "small figures" from both teachers and students,and find that in actual teaching,there are problems such as low attention to the images of "small figures",flat interpretation of characters and neglect of their humanistic connotation,insufficient use of curriculum resources,and students’ poor reading and writing transfer ability.The problems such as poor migration ability of students.Finally,in order to solve the problems of teaching,we propose corresponding countermeasures for teaching the image of "small characters".First,based on the content of the textbook,develop and use high-quality curriculum resources;second,analyze artistic techniques to improve literacy skills;third,explore the humanistic connotation to stimulate emotional resonance.This thesis aims to break through the difficult problems of teaching "small figures" and to provide an opportunity for students to learn about them.This thesis aims to break through the difficult problems of teaching "small figures" and provide reference for front-line teachers,so as to promote the overall development of students’ language core literacy.
