The improved occupational status of rural residents has been a life-saver in addressing the imbalance between urban and rural development and the inadequate development of the "Agriculture,Rural Areas and Farmers",and has played a huge role in promoting social mobility and bridging the income gap. However, the widespread spread of the saying that "impoverished families can hardly nurture rich sons" has led to a renewed focus on the impact of family capital and education on the occupational status of rural residents, and has gradually become an urgent scientific issue. This paper starts with the relationship among family capital, education level and occupational status, and explores the mechanism of action among family capital, education level and occupational status.By summarizing and summarizing the previous research, this paper preliminarily expounds the relevant research on the influence of family capital and education level on occupational status. And put forward the particularity of this group of rural residents,as well as possible regional differences. Therefore, based on the existing research, this paper puts forward a series of targeted research hypotheses.Through OLS regression analysis, this paper empirically explores the influence of family capital on the occupational status and education level of rural residents,as well as the influence of education level on the occupational status of rural residents. The Bootstrap method is further used to confirm that education level plays a mediating role in the influence of family capital on the occupational status of rural residents, and the regional differences in each influence path are discussed separately. The research results show that family capital and education level have a positive and significant impact on the occupational status of rural residents, and the influence of education level is far greater than that of family capital. And in the process of family capital affecting the occupational status of rural residents, the influence of family economic capital occupies a dominant position. At the same time, family capital significantly and positively affects the educational level of rural residents, indicating a possible indirect impact path. The follow-up analysis initially clarified the mechanism of action among family capital, education level and occupational status of rural residents, and determined part of the mediating effect of education level. In addition, regional differences basically run through the above-mentioned influence paths. The western region has a high marginal effect, but it is mainly reflected in the economic and cultural capital of households. The conclusion of the study shows that the educational level has gradually replaced family capital and become the dominant factor affecting the occupational status of rural residents. However, while expanding the channels for career advancement,we cannot ignore the inequity that exists. This is not only reflected between urban and rural areas, but also between regions.Based on this, several suggestions are put forward from the three levels of government, family and individual: First, take the government as the leading role to create a fair employment and examination environment;actively use legal means to strengthen the supervision and punishment of illegal behaviors in employment and education strength;rationally optimize the allocation of educational resources and educational opportunities.Second, parents should establish a good family education culture and atmosphere;at the same time, they should lead by example and increase their own human capital stock.Third, individuals should actively improve their human capital and social capital.
