The Ministry of Education clearly pointed out that the development of students’ core literacy is not only an important measure to implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality,but also an urgent need to promote education to keep pace with the times and enhance the international competitiveness of my country’s education.At the same time,it is clear that students should have the necessary characters and key abilities that can meet the needs of lifelong development and social development after learning through the disciplines.Junior high school students are in a critical period of physical and mental development,but for a long time,traditional physical education is mainly based on teacher indoctrination,which makes students in a passive learning state,and relevant research on game teaching method shows that game teaching method can mobilize the enthusiasm of students,and at the same time The quality of competition and cooperation awareness cultivated in the game process is also required for the core literacy of sports disciplines.Therefore,it is a valuable research direction to verify the effect of game teaching method in physical education teaching in junior high school.Using the method of literature materials,interviews,questionnaires,mathematical statistics and teaching experiments,the influence of core literacy-oriented game teaching method in physical education teaching in junior high schools was discussed through experimental research.Students from two classes in the second grade of junior high school were the experimental subjects.They conducted a game teaching experiment for 12 weeks,three times a week.After the comparison between the experimental group and the control group,it was verified that the game teaching method and the traditional teaching method have the same effect on physical fitness and sports interest level.,physical exercise habits and physical learning and cooperation ability have different influences.This paper summarizes the applicability and advantages of game teaching method in junior high school physical education,analyzes the experimental results,and draws the following conclusions:(1)Both game teaching method and traditional teaching can improve students’ physical quality,and the game teaching method improves the degree of improvement in a short period of time.Slightly larger,but with certain limitations.(2)The game teaching method can improve the sports interest level of junior high school students(3)The game teaching method can promote the formation of good physical exercise habits of junior high school students.(4)The use of game teaching method can also enhance students’ ability to cooperate in physical education in the process of games.And put forward the following suggestions:(1)should explore and adopt various forms of teaching mode,organically combine to improve the quality and ability of students in many aspects,to achieve balanced development.(2)The selection and design of the game must be closely linked to the teaching objectives and cannot be divorced from the teaching practice.At the same time,it is necessary to achieve a certain exercise intensity,and timely evaluation should be given according to the feedback of students during the implementation of the game.(3)The cultivation of healthy behavior and sports morality in the core literacy of physical education is a long-term process.It is recommended to fully explore game resources in subsequent teaching,enrich teaching content,establish a long-term mechanism,and comprehensively cultivate students’ healthy behavior and sports morality.,in order to achieve the overall goal of developing the core literacy of students in physical education.
