Research On The Role Orientation Of Social Workers In The Operation Of Community Social Work Station

In recent years,with the development of social work in China and the requirements of grass-roots governance and accurate service,community social work stations came into being.With its professional advantages,community social work stations are playing a more and more important role,especially in the overall planning of social assistance,elderly care services,child care services,disabled services and so on.As a professional force in community social work stations,social workers should properly handle the linkage relationship with town and street departments,communities,institutions,volunteers and other parties,and highlight the specialization direction of community social work stations,which is an important topic in the current construction of community social work stations.This paper focuses on the role orientation of social workers in the operation of community social work stations.Taking the social workers in Qingdao H community social work station as an example,this paper uses the literature research and field research in the qualitative research method,and taking the embedding theory,social role theory and ecosystem theory as the theoretical support.Based on the embeddedness theory,this paper explains the embeddedness of social workers in social work stations and communities;Under the guidance of social role theory,this paper systematically combs the role expectation and role practice of social workers in community social work stations,and presents the Role Imbalance of social workers from three aspects: role distance,role ambiguity and role conflict;Based on ecosystem theory,this paper summarizes the causes of Role Imbalance and the optimization path of social workers’ role positioning from the macro level,meso level and micro level.The study found that the relevant subjects of community social work stations have different role expectations for social workers.It mainly includes the role expectation of social workers at the street level,who are the output of service effectiveness and policy executor;Community neighborhood committees expect the role of social workers to be the bearers of administrative work and resource links;The expectation of social work institutions for social workers is an intermediary and relationship promoter;Social workers themselves look forward to their role as executors and advocates.The role of social workers in practice is to undertake the purchase of services,professional service providers,administrative work sharers and interest representatives of service objects.There is a certain gap between the role expectation from various parties and the role practice of social workers,which leads to the phenomenon of role imbalance.The purpose of this paper is to put forward the optimization path of social workers’ role positioning in community social work stations from multiple levels,combined with the performance and cause analysis of role imbalance.First,based on the role of guide,the sub district office strengthens the function of policy guidance and publicity.Secondly,community neighborhood committees play the role of partners and collaborators,learn from each other and complement each other.Third,social work institutions should improve the staffing with the role of managers and establish a hierarchical supervision system.Fourth,social workers continue to improve their role cognition,actively explore the practice of merging roles,and dynamically adjust their role orientation in combination with their actual work.
