The Conflict Of Community Social Workers

Community,as a basic autonomous unit,carries the main function of community service.However,as the traditional community service has been unable to meet the needs of community residents,and the government strongly calls on multiple subjects to participate in social governance,professional social work services emerge as The Times require.Since 2012,the government has gradually started to purchase professional social work services.After winning the bid for the service project purchased by the government,social workers will be sent to the community to carry out the project.In the process of project implementation,social workers should also provide services to the government,community neighborhood committees,social work institutions and community service objects.Therefore,how social workers play their roles among different subjects has become a real problem that needs to be faced.This paper takes the government's purchase of social workers'services as the background,focusing on the role conflict of community social workers in the process of role-playing.This paper adopts two qualitative research methods:one is semi-structured interview,through which materials related to the role of community social workers are obtained through interviews with three subjects,namely,community social workers,community neighborhood committee workers and community service objects.The second is participatory observation.As an intern,the author participated in the implementation and evaluation process of the project and obtained first-hand observation data.This study divides the roles of community social workers into three categories:expected roles,perceived roles and practical roles.The research on the role of community social workers reveals:first,social workers are faced with the conflict of role playing after entering the community,which is mainly manifested as the conflict of different subjects'expectations on the role of community social workers;Secondly,there is a conflict between the expected role and the role understood by social workers themselves.Third,conflicts between the roles of practice are mainly manifested in the fact that social workers take on too many roles,leading to insufficient time and energy to deal with conflicts between roles.Finally,this paper explores the causes of the role conflict of community social workers in the government's purchase of social work services and puts forward suggestions to deal with the role conflict of community social workers.Second,close linkage and bridge the role expectation difference;Third,optimize the management,improve the policy system guarantee;Fourth,improve the quality,reasonable choice of role positioning.
