| The history of biological science contains the educational value of cultivating students’ core literacy,which is of great significance to students’ study of biology.However,the current situation of the history of biological science teaching in senior high schools is not optimistic.With the development of education informatization,micro-video teaching resources emerge at the historic moment.The purpose of this study is to develop micro-videos of the history of science that are suitable for biology teaching in high school,in order to provide reference for optimizing the teaching of the history of biological science and implementing core literacy.Firstly,this study uses the content analysis scale of science history designed by scholar Leite to analyze the content of science history in 5 high school biology textbooks(2019edition).Secondly,the questionnaire of Students’ Learning Intention of History of Biological Science with good reliability and validity(α=0.889,KMO=0.806)was compiled by referring to this scale,and the preliminary investigation and analysis of the development of micro-video teaching resource package of history of biological science were conducted from these two aspects,so as to find the basis for the development of micro-video.Thirdly,according to the development basis,taking the subject of compulsory course 1“Photosynthesis” as an example,a series of micro-videos of the history of science of photosynthesis were developed from four dimensions: history of scientists,history of scientific research process,history of scientific achievements and relevant research progress,and integrated into the micro-video teaching resource package of the history of biological science.Finally,the micro-video teaching resource package of the history of science was applied,and the practical effect was tested by questionnaire on the Satisfaction of Micro-video Learning of the History of Biological Science and Outline of Interviews with Middle School Biology Teachers.The results show that:(1)From the perspective of textbook analysis,it is found that the descriptions of scientists,scientific development and background in the senior high school biology textbooks are not comprehensive;The materials used in the history of science and related activities are single;Lack of recommended science history books;It mainly appears in the non-text part and is studied voluntarily by students.(2)The learning intention survey found that students were most willing to learn stories about scientists(M=4.50,SD=0.59);Understand relevant social background(M=4.05,SD=0.91);Viewing visual materials such as pictures of machines and laboratory equipment(M=4.49,SD=0.66);Reading books about the history of science(M=3.86,SD=0.98);The study of the history of biological sciences was considered complementary(M=3.98,SD=0.95);In addition,they have a strong interest in micro-videos(M=4.46,SD=0.76),and is very willing to learn the history of biological science by means of micro-videos(M=4.36,SD=0.78).They agree that making micro-videos of the history of science can provide rich learning resources for biology learning(M=4.52,SD=0.75).(3)On this basis,a total of 10 micro videos were developed with the subject of compulsory 1 “Photosynthesis” as an example.After the students and teachers watch these micro-videos,the feedback effect is good,and 78.9% of the students like to expand the history of biological science in the form of micro-video,and 77.4% of the students hope to continue to use micro-video to learn the history of biological science.Therefore,the following research conclusions are drawn:(1)The content of science history in the High school Biology textbook of People’s Education Press needs to be improved;(2)High school students have a strong desire to learn the history of biological science micro-video;(3)The micro-video developed in this study is helpful to promote the teaching of the history of science and students’ learning of biology,and it is feasible to expand the history of biological science with micro-video.On the basis of summarizing the research conclusions,three suggestions are put forward for the development and practical research of micro-video teaching resource package for the history of biological science in high school. |
