| As an important part of primary school Chinese textbooks,unit introduction often plays the role of "helmsman",stipulating the theme and learning objectives of the unit,and guiding the direction of teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.Since the founding of New China,the People’s Education Press has always undertaken the task of compiling and publishing primary and secondary school textbooks,forming a wealth of experience in compiling textbooks,and studying the primary school Chinese textbooks published by it is of great significance to exploring the development law of primary school Chinese textbook construction in China.This study selected the primary school Chinese textbooks published by the People’s Education Press in 1992,2001 and 2016,took the unit introduction as the specific research content,adopted the the literature research method,comparative research method,and case study method to conduct a comparative analysis of the content and presentation of the unit introduction from three aspects:content selection,language expression and layout design.First,this study defines the concepts related to unit introductions and Chinese textbooks,clarifies the guiding significance of Ausubel’s theory of meaningful learning and Piaget’s theory of cognitive development in this study,and analyzes the feasibility of the comparative study of the three versions of textbooks to lay the foundation for the subsequent study.After that,a detailed comparative analysis of the content selection,language presentation,and layout design of the three editions is conducted with the help of relevant literature and textbook texts,and a case study is selected from each of the three editions.Finally,taking into account the characteristics of the development of unit introductions in the three editions of textbooks,and facing the new era and new standards,some suggestions for the improvement of unit introductions in future elementary school language textbooks were put forward.Through the comparison of the unit introductions of the three editions,the following conclusions can be drawn:the theme of "people and society" is increasingly prominent in the unit introductions of the three editions;the status of language training has increased in a tortuous manner;the language expressions have become more and more concise;the students’ subjectivity has gradually increased;and the practicality and artistry of the layout are compatible.Based on the above comparative findings,this study proposes the following suggestions for the optimization of the unit introduction:first,to optimize the content arrangement and strengthen the integration of humanistic themes;second,to combine information technology and enrich the guidance of learning methods;third,to highlight the children’s orientation and make the language more vivid;fourth,to strengthen the function of illustrations and play the effect of educating people with beauty. |
