With the continuous reform and innovation of physical education courses in colleges and universities in China,the construction of school physical education courses has been gradually improved,the reform of vocational education teaching has been deepened,various forms of physical education courses have been opened,and the curriculum teaching system has been improved,providing strong support for the development of physical education courses in China’s vocational colleges.Under the influence of the national fitness boom,badminton has become one of the most popular ball sports for college students,the opening of school badminton sports courses,can not only enhance the physical fitness of students,but also promote students’ personality development and cultivate students’ sports interests and hobbies,establish a correct view of sports and lifelong sports awareness,and lay the foundation for the cultivation of a professional and versatile talent.Taking the current situation of badminton courses in vocational colleges in northern Guangdong as the research object,this paper mainly uses questionnaire survey method,literature method,expert interview method,mathematical statistics method and other research methods,and takes eight public vocational colleges in northern Guangdong as the survey object,through the research on the status quo,teaching content,teaching methods,student sports,teacher team construction,curriculum evaluation and other aspects of badminton courses in vocational colleges in northern Guangdong,and puts forward suggestions and countermeasures for the development of public sports badminton courses in vocational colleges.The study concluded the following:(1)Eight vocational colleges in northern Guangdong have set up public sports badminton courses,students have a strong interest in badminton,and have a certain understanding and understanding of badminton,but students’ concept of participating in badminton is not strong,usually participate in badminton less often,and the participation time is shorter.(2)The teachers of badminton courses in vocational colleges and universities in northern Guangdong are mainly middle-aged teachers,young teachers are scarce,and the teachers’ qualifications are mainly master’s students,most of them are lecturer titles,the professionalism is not strong,there are more non-badminton special teachers,and there are few opportunities for teachers to study and train,which is difficult to meet the teaching needs.(3)The existing badminton courts in vocational colleges and universities in northern Guangdong are very scarce,teachers’ classroom teaching and student sports needs are extensive,and there is a lack of management and maintenance of equipment and facilities,which cannot meet the needs of students’ sports,resulting in a shortage of teaching venues and inhibiting students’ enthusiasm and enthusiasm for participation.(4)The badminton courses of vocational colleges in northern Guangdong are mainly practice-oriented,and the emphasis on theoretical teaching is low,resulting in students’ in-depth understanding of badminton sports,and the difficulty of course content does not consider the teaching environment and students’ personality characteristics,resulting in poor teaching feedback effect.(5)Students in vocational colleges and universities in northern Guangdong are more satisfied with the teaching methods and teaching content of teachers,and teachers mainly focus on the assessment of action skills in the evaluation of course performance,and the assessment method is more traditional,lacking the investigation of theoretical knowledge,and cannot reflect the comprehensiveness and progress of course evaluation.(6)Higher vocational colleges in northern Guangdong should actively optimize the curriculum teaching reform,adjust the structure of the teaching team,ensure the teaching effect,enhance the management of badminton court facilities and capital investment,build an innovative online teaching platform for the curriculum,enrich the teaching content,improve the evaluation method of course teaching,and improve the course teaching system.
