In the current digital era of the Internet,due to limitations in lifestyle,learning ability,and economic conditions,the elderly are unable to enjoy the digital dividends brought by the development of intelligent technology.They are not proficient in using digital technology,resulting in the problem of the digital divide.This further widens the gap between them and modern society,and the elderly population is facing the risk of being "abandoned" by the times.Allowing the elderly,who are financially disadvantaged,to equally enjoy the dividends of social development,is not only a measure of a society’s level of civilization,but also a touchstone for testing a country’s governance ability.Based on this,this article takes the G community and G group as an example to develop an action plan for supporting group intervention in bridging the digital divide among the elderly,and analyzes the effectiveness of the implementation of the action plan in order to discover the feasibility of this access plan.Through literature research,semi-structured interviews,and action research,this paper investigates the performance of the digital divide of the elderly in community g and their needs to bridge the digital divide.It is found that the performance of the digital divide includes: there is negative cognition,which limits the function of electronic devices;Insufficient skill level,limiting the satisfaction of multiple needs;Low media literacy and poor ability to obtain effective information have affected the normal life of elderly people in G community.It is necessary to adopt supportive group intervention to bridge the digital divide.In terms of helping elderly people in the G community bridge the digital divide,the author took the G group in the G community as an example and designed an action plan for supportive group intervention to bridge the digital divide among elderly people.During the nearly two months from January 2022 to February 2022,seven supportive group intervention activities were conducted,including "Nice to meet you","New way of life","Fighting counterfeits together","New ways of entertainment",and "The future will be better",Help elderly people gradually overcome the digital divide.Finally,an evaluation of the supportive group engagement activity was conducted to understand its effectiveness.It was found that this action plan reshaped the positive cognition of the elderly population,enhanced their confidence in bridging the digital divide,helped them learn digital skills,met their multi-level spiritual needs,significantly enhanced their digital thinking,and achieved self empowerment.It can be seen that supportive groups have a positive role in bridging the digital divide among the elderly.
