With the shift of higher education in China to internal development,the focus of education quality assessment has shifted from external factors such as university resources and reputation to college students’ learning and development,and college students’ academic achievement has gradually become the core content of higher education quality assessment.Therefore,an in-depth study of the influential paths to enhance college students’ academic achievement can enable higher education institutions to better perform the function of talent cultivation and thus improve the quality of education and teaching.In recent years,the headlines often include words such as "genius dormitory" and "the best dormitory",which also reflect that students’ academic achievement is not only related to classroom learning,but also influenced by the interaction within the dormitory group,and it is through such mutual influence that students develop and learn.It is through this mutual influence that students develop and learn themselves.Therefore,based on the interactive ritual chain theory and learning community theory,this study constructs a framework for analyzing the influence of dormitory group interaction on college students’ academic achievement from the unique field of dormitory.The study then investigates the influence of dormitory group interaction on the academic achievement of undergraduate students in public universities through literature research method,questionnaire survey method and interview method,analyzes and summarizes the characteristics of high-quality dormitory group interaction,and proposes corresponding countermeasures to promote high-quality dormitory group interaction.Through descriptive analysis,ANOVA and correlation analysis of the questionnaire results,it was found that the three dimensions of dormitory group interaction-scene,emotion and symbol-had a significant positive relationship with each index of academic achievement and its overall.Then,we further investigated the influence of dormitory group interaction on college students’ academic achievement by linear regression analysis,and found that the three dimensions of dormitory group interaction have significant positive influence on college students’ academic achievement,and they are: interaction emotion,interaction symbol,and interaction scene in descending order of influence,among which interaction emotion has the greatest influence on college students’ academic achievement and the strongest positive predictive power.The strongest positive predictive power of interactive emotion is the strongest,and the weakest positive predictive power of interactive scene is the weakest.In addition,the specific effects of dormitory group interaction on each indicator of college students’ academic achievement and the magnitude of each effect were further investigated.Finally,based on the results of the empirical study,suggestions for countermeasures to promote high-quality dormitory group interaction were proposed:enhancing students’ emotional investment and focusing members’ attention;improving the collective living mentality and improving the internal and external dormitory systems;and enriching the dormitory interaction scenarios to promote members’ common development.The aim is to help students promote the quality of interaction with roommates and their personal development at the micro level,and to provide a reference basis for student management in universities at the macro level,so as to improve the quality of talent cultivation in higher education in all aspects.
