| The development of the Internet has brought new convenience and innovative opportunities to education, and online learning has gradually penetrated into people’s lives. As the "network aborigines",the network is not only a way of life but also an important way of learning, and the line between learning and life based on the network is blurred. With the arrival of one after another "the most difficult year in the history of the examination",more and more college students have joined the "examination family",which has become a group that cannot be ignored in the field of higher education.Due to the special nature of the preparation process, this group has formed a unique learning style and circle culture mainly through the Internet, and social learning has become one of the important learning methods of the current "study group".How do the "study group" study through social networking platforms? What is the learning process like? What are the characteristics of such social learning? What kind of learning circles have been formed by social learning? What kind of inspiration can universities get from the social learning and the learning circle formed by the "Student groups participating in the postgraduate entrance examination" ? How to deal with these influences?Connectivist learning theory considers learning as interaction and connection building, and social learning is the learning based on interaction and the integration of life and learning. Therefore, under the guidance of Connectivist Learning Theory, this study mainly adopts a qualitative research method to conduct in-depth interviews with college students of different institutions, majors, and genders to understand the basic process of social learning and the attitudes and behaviors of the "study group".On the basis of the survey,we summarize the characteristics of social learning, analyze the basic components of social learning and the relationship between them, refine the basic model of social learning of "graduate students",and explore the implications of large-scale social learning of students for the educational management reform of colleges and universities. The study also explores the inspiration of large-scale social learning of students to the educational management reform of colleges and universities. The first part of the dissertation explores the basic process of social learning among the "Student groups participating in the postgraduate entrance examination".Through the survey,it is found that the learning carried out by the students on the online platform has gone through the stages of constructing their own learning environment, choosing their own learning paths in the chaotic online world, constructing their own learning communities and integrating their fragmented learning,in which finding the appropriate learning paths is more important than the learning contents. The second part of the thesis analyzes the characteristics of social learning. The social learning of the Student groups participating in the postgraduate entrance examination consists of three basic elements: active learners,a continuously generated knowledge base, and organized learning, which are interdependent and mutually reinforcing, and together construct a special "learning circle".On the one hand,it can improve the Student groups participating in the postgraduate entrance examination’ability to study for the exam, but on the other hand,it confines the Student groups participating in the postgraduate entrance examination’ study to the scope of knowledge for the exam, which lacks depth and presents fragmented learning. The third part of the dissertation is based on the research reflecting on the implications of social learning for college education and teaching among Student groups participating in the postgraduate entrance examination. The strengths of social learning for Student groups participating in the postgraduate entrance examination are: it provides learners with a platform that matches their own personalized learning;it increases learning efficiency by gathering highly specialized information and knowledge for testtaking;and having peer support provides learners with psychological support that is difficult for school organizations to provide. The shortcomings of social learning for Student groups participating in the postgraduate entrance examination are also very obvious, mainly: the knowledge base generated mainly for examinations lacks the depth of knowledge to provide learners with professional preparation for sustainable development;learners almost rely on personal groping to find and choose learning paths, which may bring new educational inequities due to differences in social resources and information literacy possessed by individuals. For this reason, universities should actively absorb and integrate the advantages of online social learning, and prevent and reduce the shortcomings of online social learning. |
