With the expansion of the graduate admission year by year,more and more undergraduate students have joined the ranks of postgraduate entrance examination.And taking postgraduate entrance examination has become an important choice for their graduation.The study's objects are the undergraduate group of taking postgraduate entrance examination,and the study 's method is empirical investigation.Through quantitative research,the study analyzes the structural hierarchy of the undergraduate group of taking postgraduate entrance examination.The study assumes that the influences of structural hierarchy were divided into 3 latitudes and each of them includes 4 factors.They are undergraduate college(college's types,major's attribute,college's supports and major's career prospects),family background(economic capital,cultural capital,social relations and emotional support),personal attribute(gender,learning style,major's satisfaction and learning capacity).In order to investigate the 3 latitudes and 12 factors how to influence the consequence of taking postgraduate entrance examination specifically,the study introduces the postgraduate group as the reference object to get the actual influences of the structural hierarchy by comparing the two groups,and to get the specific weight and positive or negative correlations of the actual influences by logistic regression analysis.The survey results show that the two groups have significant differences in college's types,major's attribute,college's supports,major's career prospects,economic capital,gender,learning style and learning capacity.And the two groups don't have significant differences in cultural capital,social relations,emotional support and major's satisfaction.What's more,college's types,major's attribute,college's supports,learning style and learning capacity have positive influences on the structural hierarchy of the undergraduate group of taking postgraduate entrance examination.And major's career prospects,economic capital and gender have negative influences on the structural hierarchy of the undergraduate group of taking postgraduate entrance examination.But cultural capital,social relations,emotional support and major's satisfaction don't have influences on the structural hierarchy of the undergraduate group of taking postgraduate entrance examination.In order to further discuss the rationality and equity of the structural hierarchy,the study establishes a ideal model of the 12 factors' influences on the undergraduate group of taking postgraduate entrance examination under pure equity's circumstance.By comparing every factor's ideal influences and actual influences on undergraduate group of taking postgraduate entrance examination,the study tries to explain and discuss the causes behind the actual influences.In the end,the study tries to analyze the deep social reasons for the structural hierarchy of undergraduate group of taking postgraduate entrance examination.The main four reasons are as followed:first,the phenomena of diploma fad is becoming increasing fierce;second,unbalanced resources cause higher education hard to achieve the equity;third,the differences of social class have impacts on the capital of competence in taking part in postgraduate entrance examination;last,the popularization of higher education brings about a tough job market.
