As one of the main play activities for preschool children,role play a positive role in promoting their physical,cognitive,social,and emotional development.As important individuals,preschool teachers play an important role in guiding role play.Based on the characteristics of role play,timely and appropriate guidance for young children can help the smooth development of play and promote the improvement of play quality.In this process,children’s playing skills and various abilities will also be developed at a higher level with the help of teachers.In recent years,teachers’ guidance in role play has received much attention,but there are still problems in the guidance of teachers.Teachers’ guidance has not played a positive role in promoting the improvement of children’s game level,and to a certain extent,it has interrupted children’s play,which has hit the enthusiasm of children’s play.Therefore,based on the model of action research,this study,in cooperation with front-line teachers,explores strategies for effective guidance of teachers in role play from practice.This study takes Class 1 of Y Kindergarten in B City as the action class.In this study,under the mode of action research,observation and interview methods were used to investigate the guidance of teachers in role play.During the preliminary research,it was found that there are the following problems in teacher guidance in role play: deviations in guidance concepts,limitations in guidance content,the guidance method is relatively rigid,relatively single guidance roles,inaccurate timing of guidance,and strong randomness in play evaluation.Subsequent action studies will prepare for and address the above issues.In the action research stage,three rounds of action research followed the four basic steps of "plan-action-investigation-reflection",and constantly optimized teachers’ guidance strategies in role play.With the adjustment and improvement of teachers’ guidance in role play,not only the effectiveness of teachers’ guidance has been improved,professional ability has been developed,the relationship with children has become closer,and children have also been growing in the process of play,confirmed the effective guidance of teachers.After analysis,this study concludes that improving the effectiveness of teacher guidance in role play: firstly,teachers should provide effective guidance to role play based on the correct play perspective;Secondly,effective guidance from teachers should help promote the development of children’s play skills;Thirdly,teachers should provide positive feedback on children’s performance in play;Fourthly,teachers should intervene in each play segment in a timely,moderate,and appropriate manner.Based on the research findings,suggestions were proposed for effective guidance of teachers in role play from the perspectives of teachers and kindergartens.Teachers should continuously improve their understanding and ability to effectively guide role play,and kindergartens should provide conditions for teachers to effectively guide role play.
