History is the history of humanity,created by the people.If there were no human activities,there would be no history,and history would have no research value,which indirectly proves the importance of historical figures in history teaching.This research topic is mainly based on meeting the needs of the new curriculum reform and the 2022 junior high school compulsory education curriculum standards regarding the realization of the goal of cultivating morality and talents,the development of quality education,and the learning characteristics of junior high school students.Combining relevant historical education teaching theoretical knowledge and practical teaching experience,the research direction is drawn.Therefore,this article aims to explore the application of historical figures in junior high school history teaching,combined with the auxiliary column "Character Scanning" in junior high school textbooks,for teaching historical figures.I hope that the research on this topic can provide some reference for frontline teachers in practical teaching.This article is divided into five chapters.In the first chapter,the author will first explain the relevant concepts of historical figures and their teaching.Secondly,the necessity of teaching historical figures in junior high school is mainly explained based on three aspects: the requirements for the core competencies of the history subject in junior high school,the characteristics of the history subject,and the requirements for the educational function in junior high school history teaching.The second chapter expounds the selection principle of historical figures and the related concepts of historical figures according to the relevant content of textbooks and the research results of experts and scholars.In addition,first,classify and sort out the historical figures in the main text and auxiliary columns of the textbook.Secondly,based on the classification and sorting of historical figures,the relationship between historical figures in junior high school history textbooks is sorted out,mainly focusing on the main text of the textbook and the characters in various auxiliary columns.As this paper takes the "character scanning" in the auxiliary column as an example,the relationship between "character scanning" and the characters in the main text of the textbook and other auxiliary columns is also sorted out,And based on the classification and sorting,the reasons why textbook editors choose the above-mentioned historical figures to be included in the textbooks are identified.Chapter 3 conducts a survey and research on the teaching of historical figures,which is mainly divided into two parts: conducting a questionnaire survey on second and third year students,and conducting interviews with teachers of different teaching ages.Based on the survey results,the existing problems are identified.Chapter 4 proposes corresponding strategies for the application of historical figures in junior high school history teaching based on the classification of historical figures in textbooks and the problems found in survey questionnaires and interview results.In Chapter 5,the author designs a teaching case based on teaching practice and relevant educational theory research,taking "character scanning" as an example.
