Since the strategy of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" was put forward, the state has continuously increased its support for innovation and entrepreneurship, and various entrepreneurial entities have joined the ranks of entrepreneurship in response to the call of the state. As an important force of innovation and entrepreneurship, university scholars with scientific research background and technical advantages are an important breakthrough to promote knowledge and technology innovation, accelerate the transformation of innovation-driven development mode and promote economic development. The state has made a lot of attempts at the policy level to encourage academic entrepreneurship among university scholars, but the actual situation has not achieved the expected effect.Although the number of knowledge innovation results in the form of patents, inventions and articles is large, the transformation rate is extremely low,and only a few of them have formed industrial scale. At the same time, domestic research on academic entrepreneurship is still in its infancy, especially in the area of factors influencing academic entrepreneurship, there are more single-factor studies that use empirical methods to investigate whether a certain factor has an impact on academic entrepreneurship, and fewer comprehensive studies that explore multiple aspects and levels from individual scholars, organizations, governments, and policies. Therefore,in order to effectively motivate university scholars to actively engage in academic entrepreneurship and make them engage in entrepreneurial activities more scientifically,it is of practical significance and theoretical value to conduct a comprehensive and systematic study on the factors influencing academic entrepreneurship among university scholars. This paper focuses on university academics from the micro-individual perspective of academic entrepreneurship.Firstly,we define the connotation of academic entrepreneurship by combing the literature on academic entrepreneurship at home and abroad, and summarize the influencing factors of academic entrepreneurship from three dimensions:individual scholars, university organizations, macro environment and policies, and screen the summarized influencing factors by means of research, interviews and questionnaires, and construct a system of influencing factors of academic entrepreneurship for university scholars.Secondly, the decision and laboratory(DEMATEL)method is used to calculate the influence degree, influenced degree, centrality degree and cause degree of each influencing factor, and the importance degree of each influencing factor is revealed quantitatively; On this basis,a multi-level recursive structural model of academic entrepreneurship influencing factors of college scholars with seven levels and 22 factors was constructed with the help of ISM method, which clearly showed the hierarchical relationship among the influencing factors.Meanwhile, this study identifies a total of nine factors with high importance, which are academic level and achievement of university scholars, influence of university scholars, technical background of university scholars, entrepreneurial experience of university scholars, personnel strength of university scholars, collaborative industry-academia network of university scholars, leadership behavior in organizations, social capital of universities, and resource allocation support.Finally,5 management insights are proposed based on the research results. It provides a scientific theoretical basis for college scholars to develop their own entrepreneurial qualities and abilities, and for college organizations to develop incentive policies. This paper investigates the factors influencing academic entrepreneurship of university scholars from the perspective of complex systems, breaking the current status quo of empirical research on academic entrepreneurship which focuses on theoretical analysis, literature review, and the mechanism of action of local influencing factors, and enriching the theory.Based on the analysis of the existing research on the influencing factors of academic entrepreneurship, the constructed system of influencing factors of academic entrepreneurship for college scholars and the in-depth discussion on the degree of importance and vertical hierarchical structure of each influencing factor enrich the existing research on the influencing factors of academic entrepreneurship and can promote the development of academic entrepreneurship theory to a certain extent. The results of this paper’s research also have some reference value for future research on academic entrepreneurship.
