| With the acceleration of the urbanization process,more and more children of migrant workers flow into the city.After they leave the original familiar living environment and come to a new environment,due to a series of reasons,such as unfamiliar with the environment,the social support network is not yet perfect,and so on.their urban adaptability is poor,resulting in a series of physical and psychological problems.It is essential to provide rich and colorful activities for migrant workers’ children to promote their faster integration into the new environment.Social work adheres to the principle of"helping others to help themselves",which also greatly helps to improve the urban adaptability of migrant workers’ children.Based on the public welfare venture capital project of Xiangcheng District,Suzhou City,which the author participated in during his internship,the project of "urban small immigrants,caring for the growth of the office",this paper selects the problem of urban adaptability of migrant workers’ children as the research content.According to the actual situation of the Y community in Xiangcheng District,the service objects were evaluated with the adaptability scale,and the actual problems of the children of migrant workers in urban adaptation were explored.Using the group work method,12 children of migrant workers with poor urban adaptability were selected from the Y community central primary school to form a group,and the development model was used to carry out the group work to help the children of migrant workers improve their self-confidence,interpersonal communication The adaptability of the four aspects of safety awareness and mental health to improve the urban adaptability of the children of migrant workers.After the completion of the project,the service object will be evaluated again with the adaptability scale,and the achievement of the project objectives will be analyzed through the pre-test and post-test comparison,and the project will be summarized and reflected accordingly,and experience will be provided for the formation of a practical and effective model for improving the urban adaptability of the children of migrant workers. |
