As a necessary professional skill for teachers,lesson observation is beneficial to enhancing teachers’ education and teaching and promoting their professional development.At present,the professional level of lesson observation needs to be improved,and it is difficult to adapt to the needs of the observation object from shallow learning to deep learning.To solve the deficiencies and dilemmas in the field of lesson observation,this study constructs a senior high school geography lesson deep learning observation scale under the guidance of deep learning theory to analyze and evaluate the incidence of deep learning in senior high school geography lessons,to provide a way to support the acquisition of information for the evaluation of deep learning in senior high school geography lessons,and to promote the professional level of lesson observation and the improvement of teachers’ educational and teaching abilities.The specific content can be divided into the following aspects:Firstly,the literature research method and the problem investigation method are used to sort out the current situation of research.This study will summary the current status of research,make sense of the occurrence process of deep learning,and lay the foundation for the construction of the deep learning observation scale for high school geography lessons.Secondly,construct the deep learning observation scale for high school geography lessons based on the occurrence process of deep learning.Based on the trends of high cognition,high participation and high production in the process of deep learning,the three major observation perspectives of the deep learning observation scale in the senior high school geography lesson are determined,the observation points are identified according to the teaching aspects corresponding to the process of deep learning,appropriate measurement methods and evaluation indexes are selected,and the cognitive depth scale,participation depth scale and result depth scale are constructed under the guidance of the scale design principles.Thirdly,the empirical evidence of the deep learning observation scale in the high school geography lesson was carried out by using the lesson observation method.The lesson observation of Wind and Sand Landscapes was conducted using the deep learning observation scale for senior high school geography lessons,and the observation results can better reflect the occurrence of deep learning and have the feasibility.Comparing the results of the observation scale with those of the lesson observation records,the observation scale overcomes the shortcomings of the lesson observation records and fulfils the requirements of "collaboration,evidence and research" for professional lesson observation,and has certain validity.The scale is used by teachers to optimize their teaching,improve their teaching design,overcome the shortcomings of the current teaching process and improve their teaching skills.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:Firstly,a deep learning observation scale for high school geography lessons was designed under the guidance of deep learning theory to evaluate the occurrence of deep learning in the lesson.The scale is composed of a cognitive depth scale,a participation depth scale and an outcome depth scale,which are used to observe and evaluate the occurrence of deep learning in the geography lesson from three aspects: cognition,participation and production.Secondly,the use of the deep Learning Observation Scale in high school geography lessons helps to enhance teachers’ professionalism in lesson observation.The observation scale is completed in collaboration,the conclusions are based on evidence,and the observation process is in line with the research process,which is in line with the requirements of "collaboration,evidence and research" for professional lesson observation and helps to enhance teachers’ professionalism in lesson observation.Thirdly,teachers can better evaluate the occurrence of deep learning in the high school geography lesson with the use of the high school geography deep Learning observation Scale,and promote the improvement of teaching ability.The observation scale better reflects the occurrence of deep learning in the case,and the teachers use the findings of the scale to optimize their teaching and improve their teaching ability.
