Study On The Living Status Of Migrant Women In Beijing

Since the reform and opening up,a large group of migrant workers has emerged in cities nationwide,among which women account for an important proportion.Because of its particularity on the identity,in the society of traditional ideas and city under the influence of dual economy system,the group of migrant women after entering the city,from life,work and social integration of many factors such as restriction,"outsiders" and "female" double identity makes their survival situation is worrying.Therefore,the living conditions of female migrant workers should attract the general attention of all walks of life.This paper adopts quantitative research method,on the basis of referring to the previous literature research,divides the current situation of survival into three dimensions Is the living conditions,working conditions and social integration,respectively.The survival status itself and satisfaction degree of survival status are studied.Through a questionnaire survey of 844 migrant women in Area X of Beijing,the following conclusions are drawn through statistical analysis:First,the living status of migrant women in Beijing is relatively good,but there are still some deficiencies.Specifically,in terms of living conditions,most of them live together with their relatives and friends,mostly in staff dormitories and rented houses.The consumption level is relatively low,mainly in the 500-1499 yuan range,mainly in food,clothing,housing and medical treatment.On the working condition,most of the work life of less than five years,engaged in the low technical content,and more depend on manual labor work,working strength is larger,working overtime is common,more than ninety percent of the respondents work time in more than 8 hours,social security is poorer,some respondents working environment is bad for your health and social security did not press formulary pay;In terms of social integration,they hope to get along equally with urban residents,but in fact,some interviewees have been discriminated or treated unfairly by urban residents.Second,70.9%of migrant women are satisfied with their living conditions,68.9%with their working conditions,and 71%with their social integration.Third,the city objective dimension,the condition of working dimensions and social integration dimension survival satisfaction with the status quo of migrant women in Beijing,among them the biggest influence to the purpose of completion,followed by the working condition of dimension and social dimension,working dimensions of the social security situation,the factors to influence the work strength,The factors of discrimination and injustice in the dimension of social integration have an impact on it.According to the research conclusions,this study puts forward the following suggestions to improve the living status of migrant women and their overall satisfaction:first,improve their professional ability and career structure;Second,increase the supply of low-rent housing;Third,policies to provide better social security;Fourthly,create social and cultural environment for social integration.
