Research purposes: The physical education curriculum objectives in the new curriculum standard require students to develop their physical core literacy by cultivating their exercise knowledge.With the updating of physical education teaching concepts such as "Health First","Education Modernization","Promoting the Educational Function of Sport" and "Lifelong Sports",more and more new physical education curriculum models emphasize that physical education curriculum should not only include sports skills Study,should pay more attention to the study of exercise theory knowledge.At present,the physical activity level of children in our country is generally not high and it declines year by year with the increase of grade.The students’ interest in sports learning also decreases year by year as the grade increases.At present,many studies have found that there is a positive correlation between sports knowledge and interest in sports learning,but these studies do not distinguish different dimensions of sports knowledge;some studies have found that there is a positive correlation between sports knowledge and physical activity,but the experimental subjects are mostly middle and high school groups.There is a lack of correlational research on primary school students.The main purpose of this study is firstly to focus on the current situation of students’ physical activity,interest in sports learning and sports knowledge in the third and fourth grades,secondly to explore the differences between students of different grades and genders in physical activity,interest in sports learning and exercise knowledge,and to analyze the correlation between physical activity and exercise knowledge,and finally to explore the promotion effects of different dimensions of sports knowledge on students’ interest in sports learning and physical activity.Research methods: The exercise knowledge Questionnaire,the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Primary and Middle School Students,and the Physical Activity Questionnaire were used to measure the sports knowledge,interest in sports learning,and physical activity of the third and fourth graders of Shanghai Mingzhu Primary School.Descriptive statistics were used to describe the overall exercise knowledge,physical activity and interest level of physical learning of third and fourth grade students.Independent sample T test was used to verify whether there were differences in three variables between students of different grades and sexes,and single factor variance analysis was used to verify whether students with different physical activity intensities had differences in interest level of physical learning.Pearson correlation is used to verify the correlation between exercise knowledge,health promotion knowledge,physical sports knowledge,sports literature and history knowledge and sports learning interest,physical activity.Multiple linear regression analysis is used to verify whether the four categories of sports knowledge can predict students’ interest in sports learning and physical activity level in the third and fourth grades.Results:(1)The passing rate of the third and fourth grade students’ exercise knowledge is 81.9%,and the overall exercise knowledge shows a good level,among which the average score of sports literature and history knowledge is the highest and the average score of sports sports knowledge is the lowest;Grade 4 students’ overall exercise knowledge scores are significantly higher than those of grade 3 students(P<0.05).(2)The third and fourth grade students’ overall interest level in sports learning is on the high side,showing a high interest in sports learning,among which the stimulation of sports situational interest and the mature scores of sports individual interest are the most prominent;The overall interest in physical education learning declines with the increase of grade(P<0.05).(3)The overall physical activity level of the third and fourth grade students is medium intensity,and the success rate of medium and high intensity physical activity is 82.5%;There is a significant gender difference in physical activity in school,which shows that the physical activity in school of boys is higher than that of girls(t=2.187,P=0.002<0.01).(4)the knowledge of sports events in exercise knowledge is positively correlated with the maturity of students’ individual interest in sports in the third and fourth grades(r=0.075,P<0.05),the knowledge of health promotion is positively correlated with the maintenance of sports situational interest(r=0.068,P<0.05),and the knowledge of physical exercise is positively correlated with the stimulation of sports situational interest(r=-0.091,p <exercise knowledge has a negative predictive effect on both dimensions of sports situational interest(β=-0.097,P<0.01,β=-0.080,P<0.05),and exercise knowledge has a positive effect on the maturity of students’ sports individual interest(β=0.074,P<0.05).Sports sports knowledge can significantly negatively predict the arousal of interest in sports situations of fourth-grade students(β=-0.141,P<0.01)and all boys(β=-0.140,P<0.01),with the contribution rates of 6.7% and 5.4%,while exercise knowledge positively predicts the third-grade students(β=0.115,P<0.05)sports knowledge,and has a significant negative impact on arousing students’ interest in sports situations with low physical activity intensity(β=-0.165,P<0.05),but students with medium and high physical activity level have nothing to do with this impact.(5)The knowledge of sports literature and history in exercise knowledge is positively correlated with physical activity in school(r=0.069,P<0.05)and physical activity outside school(r=0.079,P<0.05);Sports literature and history knowledge can positively predict students’ physical activity in school(β=0.069,P < 0.05);Among female students,the knowledge of sports literature and history can positively predict their physical activity in school,with a contribution rate of 3%(β=0.109,P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)The third and fourth grade students have a good grasp of exercise knowledge,and the fourth grade students are better than the third grade students in exercise knowledge.(2)The third and fourth grade students’ overall interest in physical education is on the high side,and the third grade students’ interest in physical education is higher than that of the fourth grade students.(3)The overall physical activity level of the third and fourth grade students is medium intensity,and the amount of physical activity in school of boys is higher than that of girls.(4)There is a negative correlation between physical sports knowledge and the stimulation and maintenance of sports situational interest.Physical sports knowledge can significantly negatively predict the stimulation of sports situational interest of fourth grade students,all boys and students with low physical activity intensity;There is a positive correlation between the health promotion knowledge in exercise knowledge and the maintenance stage of situational interest;There is a positive correlation between the knowledge of sports events in exercise knowledge and the maturity stage of individual interest in sports,which can positively predict the maturity of individual interest in sports of third-grade students.(5)exercise knowledge in different dimensions has nothing to do with the overall physical activity,but sports literature and history knowledge can promote the participation of girls in school physical activities.
