Physical inactivity has become the fourth largest risk factor leading to global death.Interest in physical education is a powerful motivation to encourage middle school students to participate in physical activity,which directly affects students’ efforts and persistence in physical activity.Research objective: Based on gender and grade level,the potential differences of physical activity and physical learning interest of high school students were investigated to explore the relationship between physical activity and physical learning interest and their mutual influence,so as to provide reference for promoting the physique and health level of high school students.Research Methods: This study takes the relationship between high school students’ sports learning interest and physical activity as the research object.The method of literature,questionnaire and mathematical statistics was adopted.Firstly,stratified random sampling method was adopted to select 2-3 classes from three grades from six senior high schools in Nanning,and 1506 valid questionnaires were filled out in class.Secondly,descriptive statistics were used to analyze the basic situation of each dimension of PE learning interest and physical activity level.Independent sample T test was used to analyze the gender difference of variables,one-way an OVA and Chi-square test was used to analyze the grade difference.Finally,the relationship between high school students’ interest in physical education and physical activity was examined by Pearson correlation analysis and one-way an OVA to test the influence of physical activity on various dimensions of physical education interest.Hierarchical regression was used to explore the influence of physical education interest on physical activity level.Research Results:(1)In the aspect of sports learning interest,the score of cognition 3.82 was the highest,and the score of attention 2.94 was the lowest;There were significant differences in the gender of PE learning interest(P<0.01).There were significant differences in positivity and cognition among senior high school students of different grades(P<0.01),significant differences in passivity,participation and autonomy(P<0.05),and no significant differences in attention(P>0.05).(2)In terms of physical activity,23% of the high school boys in Nanning were at low intensity level,53% at medium intensity level,and 24%at high intensity physical activity level;42% of high school girls were at low intensity level,48% at moderate intensity level,and 10% at high intensity physical activity level.The physical activity levels of senior high school students of different genders and grades were significantly different(P<0.01).(3)The relationship between PE learning interest and physical activity: there was a positive correlation between PE learning interest and physical activity intensity(R =0.460,P<0.01);Physical activity(PA total score)had a significant impact on physical education learning interest(total score),positivity and participation(P<0.01).There was significant influence on the degree of anxiety and attention(P<0.05),but there was no significant influence on the degree of autonomy and cognition(P>0.05).PE learning interest had a significant predictive effect on physical activity level(β=0.095,P<0.05),and its contribution rate was8.3%.Research Conclusions:(1)The sports learning interest of high school students in Nanning city is at a relatively ideal medium level,there is a gender difference,the overall level of girls is lower than boys;There were grade differences in all dimensions except the concern dimension of sports.(2)The physical activity level of high school students in Nanning is generally low,and there is a very significant difference in gender and grade,and the physical activity level gradually decreases with the growth of grade.(3)The relationship between sports learning interest and physical activity of high school students in Nanning presents a significant positive correlation,indicating that the higher the interest in sports learning,the higher the level of physical activity,and sports learning interest can significantly predict the level of physical activity.Physical activity(PA total score)has a significant impact on the four dimensions of physical education learning interest,positivity,participation,negativity and attention.
