| Middle school period is a critical period for adolescents’ mental health development,and due to the complex and changing society nowadays,the mental health problems of contemporary adolescents are becoming more and more serious,and the lack of self-confidence is one of the causes of contemporary adolescents’ mental health problems.As one of the most essential psychological qualities of adolescents,self-confidence can help adolescents face setbacks,difficulties and challenges positively and understand themselves correctly.Therefore,we investigate and study the self-confidence level of students in middle school stage and take certain intervention measures.This paper uses Xingyiquan as an intervention tool to explore the feasibility of traditional Wushu exercises to improve middle school students’ self-confidence,To provide a new development road for the traditional Wushu to enter the campus,to provide a approach for the secondary school students’ psychological health development,and to offer a new kind of thinking for the traditional Wushu to carry forward.This essay applies the bibliographic method,the problem-solving process,the experimental practice and other primary sources as the main ways of doing research,using the "Secondary School Students’ Self-Confidence Questionnaire" as the research instrument,firstly,five hundred and twenty-two students from two junior high schools in Taigu County were selected to carry out a self-confidence level questionnaire survey,based on the survey,more than eighty students from a first year class of a secondary school in Taigu County were selected as the trial subjects to carry out a twelve-week The experimental group was given thirty minutes of practice of traditional wushu kung fu at medium intensity each time,while the regular physical education was given to the control group based on the physical education course.Before and after the intervention,the scores of the self-confidence dimensions were measured in the experimental and test combinations.Investigation results:1.Through the questionnaire survey,the investigated middle school students’ self-confidence was at a moderate level,and the self-confidence scores were,in descending order,moral confidence,ability confidence,interpersonal confidence,overall confidence,appearance confidence,and academic confidence.2.The self-confidence levels of middle school students differed somewhat in different grades,different places of birth,whether they were class leaders,and whether they were single-parent family factors,and showed no variability in gender and whether they were only children.Experimental results:1.The level of self-confidence in the pilot group showed significant enhancement after the experiment,and the normalized pre-test and post-test of the group showed hugely pronounced effects(p<0.01)in the six components of self-confidence: scholastic,social,capability,outlook,conduct,and general self-confidence variables(p<0.01).2.The self-confidence degree of the control group did not show any significant difference in the pre-test and post-test of the experiment(P > 0.01),and the test group did not change much and remained somewhat stable throughout the experiment.Conclusion:1.The self-confidence degree of junior high school students is in the average level,and the self-confidence level is from top to bottom: Character,Capability,Human,Overall,Outlook,and Educational confidence.2.The self-confidence level of junior high school students is different in different grades,different places of origin,whether they are class cadres or not,and whether they are single-parent families,but there is no difference in gender and whether they are only children.3.The findings at the end of the experiment showed that after 12 weeks of Xingyiquan exercise intervention,the self-confidence scores of the test group showed very remarkable differences before and after the experiment,indicating that the practicing of Xingyiquan through the test group effectively improved the self-confidence level of the test group,and Xingyiquan had a certain effect on the upgrading of the self-confidence of the middle school students.4.Through the debates,various aspects of society have contributed to the development of Xingyiquan,promoting the spread and transmission of Xingyiquan;schools have introduced the traditional martial art of Xingyiquan,so that the value of Xingyiquan can directly affect students and have a direct effect on their physical and mental health;families have supported students to further improve their self-confidence through Xingyiquan;gender is very important in terms of personal preference,and boys and girls perform very differently in the practice process,which has a different effect on self-confidence Gender is very important in terms of personal preference. |
