Research On The Influence Mechanism Of Parental Involvement On Educational Anxiety

Educational anxiety becomes more and more serious in recent decades in China.Chinese government published Double Reduction policy mean to release this kind of anxiety.After the one-year implementation of Double Reduction policy,it was reported that the level of educational anxiety didn’t go down but increased.The balance between the family and the career was struck and the demand for the family education was rising.To discuss the relationship and working path between parental involvement and educational anxiety will benefit the family education work and help to release the educational anxiety.Based on this,this research combines the existing literature to construct a theoretical model which suggesting the parental self-efficacy as the mediating variable and propose research hypotheses.This study collects data through questionnaire survey,conducts multiple regression analysis,mediating effect approve and qualitative text analysis.It was examined that the parental involvement can significantly affect the educational anxiety via the parental self-efficacy.The research found that:(1)Parental involvement has a significant negative impact on educational anxiety.Higher the parental involvement lower the educational anxiety.Parental involvement works positively for both children and parents.(2)Parental involvement influences the educational anxiety through the parental selfefficacy.The positive emotion and confidence during the parenting will release the education anxiety and also help to improve the effect of parental involvement.(3)Parental involvement can only work significantly when the parental self-efficacy are the mediating variable.When the parental self-efficacy join in the process,the effect of parental involvement on the educational anxiety becomes stronger.This study preliminarily revealed the influence mechanism of parental involvement on educational anxiety and enriched the research on family education in China.These findings provide some practical inspirations for parents.First,to encourage the parental involvement and improve its efficiency.Second,to innovate the parenting confidence and pay more attention to parental self-efficacy.Third,to release the educational anxiety via the specific parental involvement.
