Research On Marxist Career Choice Theory And Employment Issues Of College Students

Employment is the source of people's livelihood.Countries worldwide are concerned with employment nowadays.Our Party and government always attach great importance to the laborers,especially the full employment of university graduates.Guided by the Marxist conception of practice,this thesis discusses occupational choice with framework of the subjective and objective theory.I hope it will benefit the construction of occupational choice theory and the full employment of university graduates.This thesis has seven chapters.Chapter one is generalization.It mainly discusses the research background,theory and the value of practice.With the internal and foreign research,it includes basic contents,methods,innovations and defects of this thesis.Chapter two mainly includes the characteristics of the Marxism Theory of occupational choice.Fulfillment of needs and satisfaction is the instinct of all living creatures,which is the fundamental property that distinguishes living things from nonliving things.The difference on external conditions of living things determines selectivity of values in the fulfillment of needs and satisfaction.Making choice is a general property of all living things.On the basis of biological choice,the choice of human beings is the most universal,high level and dynamic one in the activities of cognition and practice.The choices of human beings form the world of human beings;the world of human beings is made up of the choices of human beings.Making choices correctly plays an important role in one's life.The occupation is the most important aspect for one's interaction with the society and it's the medium of social interaction.The occupational choice is a pivotal step in one's life.The Marxism Theory of occupational choice is rich in content,which includes the occupational choice takes social division of labor as a premise;the occupational choice is adaptable to historic process;the occupational choice is based on social practice;the social value is pursued in the occupational choice and the free development of human beings is the ideal for occupational choice.Chapter three discusses the subject of occupational choice.It has four elements,which are need and preference,sense and sensibility,capability and physique,conception and attitude.To adhere to the criteria of one's need and preference and guided by certain values,the subject of occupational choice works through cognitive judgment of sense and sensibility on the basis of one's capability and physique.For the subject of occupational choice,the value plays a vital role.The Marxism advocates unification of social and self-worth values,unification of the reason of value and the reason of practice,unification of one's freedom and fundamental law governing the historic development of human society and unification of ideal and present condition.Chapter four discusses the social condition for occupational choice.The occupational choice is conducted by and subjected to social economic,political and moral conditions.As the society developing from lower level to higher level,the degree of freedom in one's occupational choice is increased with the improvement of social economy,politics and culture.The ideal occupational choice of Marxism put the liberalization of one's economic,political and moral slavery and alienation as the primary consideration,which calls for highly developed productive forces,a country by the people and for the people,a comprehensive education and harmonious development of society.Chapter five introduces the medium of occupational choice.The medium is the intermediate link between the subject and the object.The medium of occupational choice includes a series of resources and allocations such as the employment policy,service system,legal guarantee,evaluation and encouragement.The subject needs to identify and grasp the content,characteristics of these links,whose thoughts and deeds should be consistent with demands,and therefore,the applicant fully corresponds to the occupation,realizing the freedom of choosing an occupation,full employment and harmonious development of society.Chapter six discusses the current situation and problem of the employment of university graduates.The general condition of our nation's employment of university graduates is good,with the employment rate reaching above 90 percent.The employment is rational,with increasing independent pioneers.The shortcomings are low match between majors in universities and social needs,the less effective guidance of employment in universities,less effective implementation of national policies of employment and difficulties for university graduates self-employed.Chapter seven discusses the full employment of university graduates under the guidance of the Marxism Theory of occupational choice.The employment of university graduates is a systematic project carried out with the effort of the graduates,university,family,government and society.The university graduates should improve their capability for employment,build their character,attain a great store of knowledge and improve the capability for occupational choice in practice.Home education should include career education.Construct a harmonious family to improve children's ability to choose an occupation.Universities should reform teaching mode by strengthening foreign language study and practice to improve teaching quality.Governments should emphasizes on its responsibility for university graduates employment,which include expanding channels of employment,improving employment market,providing employment policy and legal guarantee to realize the full employment of university graduates.
