Higher vocational education in China has made great progresses with the guidance of party and government policies.However,the problem of insufficient enrollment in private higher vocational colleges is becoming more and more prominent.It is urgent to solve enrollment problems and the low quality of students in some private higher vocational colleges.Thus,it is valuable to study the improvement of enrollment in HY Vocational College,which is a mixed ownership private higher vocational college.This paper takes the enrollment strategy of HY Vocational College as the research object.On the basis of theoretical research,using the methods of literature research and internal interview,it analyzes the present status of enrollment,source of students,specialty setting as well as enrollment mode of HY Vocational College and finds that there are some enrollment problems existing in this school,such as single enrollment mode,lacking of professional enrollment team and lacking of attraction in enrollment publicity design;using macro environment analysis and industry environment analysis,as well as its software and hardware internal environment analysis and SWOT analysis to determine the opportunities,challenges,strengths and weaknesses of this school.Based on this comprehensive analysis,the enrollment strategies which are located in Weifang,radiating Shandong and the whole country are determined.According to the overall enrollment strategy of the college,this paper puts forward the improvement scheme of enrollment work:establishing solid student source bases,perennial enrollment marketing mode,full enrollment marketing mode of all teachers and students,and diversified enrollment marketing mode of optimizing the design of network marketing strategy;selecting and training enrollment personnel,standardizing enrollment training system,establishing a stable marketing enrollment team and improving the competence of admissions counsellor;enhancing the establishment of school brand and promoting enrollment publicity by strengthening the construction of characteristic majors and advantageous brands,improving students internship and employment brand and optimizing the construction of student enrollment channels;ensuring the smooth implementation of enrollment marketing strategy by increasing enrollment special funds and service guarantee as well as scientific and effective incentive policies.This paper makes an in-depth and systematic research on the problems existing in the enrollment work of HY Vocational College.The results can be helpful to the improvement of the enrollment work of HY Vocational College.It can also provide theoretical references for the improvement of the enrollment work of other similar colleges in China.
