With the rapid development of society and economy,rural areas are affected by urbanization and modernization,and people’s concept of marriage and family has changed,breaking through the constraints of traditional culture,and family stability and structure have changed.The divorce rate in rural areas is rising year by year,showing the social status quo that children mainly live with their father’s side.Children from rural singlefather families are still in the childhood stage when their parents divorce,and family changes have a great impact on children’s growth and development.The author in the Puhui Social Work Service Center in Sansui County perform C village social work station during the period of construction project in villages and towns,to find and collect the village problem of single-father families and their children’s growth,through the Field Survey Research,Participant Observation and in under the guidance of Action Research method,insight into the basic situation of rural single-father family and their children’s psychological status and behavior.The number of single-parent families in village C is increasing year by year and there are relatively many single-father families.In single-father families,the educational level of guardians is generally low,and their children have psychological manifestations such as self-abasement,rebellion and negative attitude towards communication,as well as behavioral problems such as violent tendency,addiction to mobile games and poor learning ability.In the past,scholars’ intervention on children of rural single-parent families mainly focused on relatively macro policies and material help,with a broad range of research objects and precise services to be improved.The method selection mainly adopts multiangle fusion or multi-level intervention,and the application research of single level,namely family level,needs to be further explored.Based on the Social Gender Theory,this paper analyzes the social reasons for the rapid increase of single father families in rural areas.On account of the Ecological System Theory,it is found that an individual’s family ecological resources mainly include immediate family support,collateral family support and geographically formed neighborhood support.Using case work method to intervene,adhering to the service concept of people in the situation,digging and mobilizing family resources,stimulating and strengthening family energy,forming family support and linkage,trying to solve the difficulties and problems of children in rural single-parent families dominated by single fathers,and promoting the healthy growth of single-parent children.
