| Infertile women bear multiple physical, economic and psychological pressures, which seriously affect the quality of life of infertile women.Among them, the psychological pressure of infertile women is often easy to be ignored, and social work professionals lack attention to the group of infertile women in both practice and research fields. In order to understand and improve the current situation of infertile women’s psychological predicament, this paper conducts a social survey on the group of infertile women, and conducts a case intervention study on infertile women using cognitive behavior therapy to explore the applicability of cognitive behavior therapy in the intervention of infertile women’s psychological predicament. In this study, questionnaire survey and interview were used to collect research data.Through a questionnaire survey of 51 infertile women who were treated in the infertility department of a second grade-A hospital in Chongqing, combined with in-depth interviews,it was found that infertile women generally had depression and anxiety, and some infertile women suffered from guilt and disease shame,"Bad marital relationship","the need to be a mother","individual psychological characteristics" and "lack of professional support" are the main factors that lead to the negative emotions of infertile women. Therefore, infertile women have the needs of emotional counseling, improving psychological resilience, eliminating stigma, stabilizing the support system and learning about mental health. The methods and techniques of cognitive behavior therapy are very consistent with the needs of infertile women, but there is no practical research to verify it at present.Based on this, this study uses tools and techniques such as case conceptualization, thinking record form, self forgiveness, cognitive reconstruction, relaxation training, etc.of cognitive behavior therapy to select Xiao Li(pseudonym),a representative of infertile women’s psychological dilemma, for case intervention,In the process of intervention, explore and reflect the applicability of cognitive behavior therapy to the psychological predicament of infertile women,as well as the factors that affect the effectiveness of intervention,so as to provide experience for future practice. The case evaluation results show that cognitive behavioral therapy has obvious intervention effect in improving the depression and anxiety of service objects, enhancing the self-esteem level of service objects, and improving the ability of service objects to solve problems.According to the results of the case study, cognitive behavior therapy is applicable to the psychological problems of infertile women, and can achieve good intervention effect, but the intervention effect is affected by the quality of professional relationship, the recognition of service objects to cognitive behavior therapy, and the professional ability of social workers themselves. Therefore, the use of cognitive behavior therapy to intervene in the psychological dilemma of infertile women should be committed to establishing a professional relationship of cooperation and trust, and at the same time provide the service objects with a "snapshot" of cognitive behavior therapy, explain the reasons for choosing cognitive behavior therapy, strive for the recognition of the service objects on cognitive behavior therapy, and improve the participation and investment of the service objects. |
