In 2022,the Art Curriculum Standards for compulsory education was recently promulgated and mentioned in the curriculum concept that " students’ artistic perception and emotional experience in the learning process should be emphasized.It enables students to form rich and healthy aesthetic taste in the process of appreciation,performance and creation." Compared with the compulsory education " Music Curriculum Standards " published in 2011,the importance of the aesthetic requirements has been raised again,which shows that the curriculum concept of " educating people with aesthetics " has been paid more and more attention by the country.Junior high school is an important stage to learn and appreciate folk music,and the classroom is one of the ways for students to acquire more folk music.In addition to the curriculum concept,the curriculum content has also been adjusted,requiring seventh and eighth grade students to learn to listen to and appreciate excellent folk music works with rich cultural connotations.The implementation of folk music appreciation teaching in junior middle school can help students understand folk music culture more comprehensively,cultivate students’ national consciousness and enhance students’ patriotic feelings.At the same time,the appreciation teaching of folk music is also one of the important ways to carry out aesthetic education for students,so as to achieve the educational policy of " educating people with aesthetics".However,there are still some problems in the teaching of folk music appreciation in the middle school music teaching in Zunyi City,and there are some deficiencies in the teaching methods.How to achieve effective teaching in a music class,but also let students experience the beauty of music in the ethnic music,so as to cultivate students’ aesthetic perception,more to understand our outstanding traditional culture,arouse students’ interest in ethnic music and patriotic feelings.Through analysis and research,this paper draws the following conclusions:1.There are still some problems in the appreciation teaching of folk music in Zunyi No.4 Junior Middle School,which are mainly reflected in the inflexible teaching methods,imperfect teaching facilities,lack of teaching resources,and the selected textbooks and related folk music content are too old to keep pace with The Times,timely update and improve.Affected by the above situation,it limits students’ initiative and creativity to let them play folk music in junior high school.It is difficult to fully participate in the teaching and obtain effective folk music art experience.It is necessary to make corresponding improvements in order to truly cultivate junior middle school students’ interest in folk music and truly experience the artistic experience brought by appreciation and analysis of folk music.2.According to the problems mentioned above,improvements should be made in these aspects.Related education department and school leadership more value of school music education teaching,or the corresponding teaching equipment,for students to use the music teaching materials should be updated in time,strengthen the construction of national music appreciation teaching content,can introduce some appropriately with local characteristic of Chinese national music school-based teaching materials,arousing students’ interest in national music.
