Principals play a complex and diversified role in the reform and development of schools.From different perspectives,the roles of principals can be defined as leaders,educators,service providers,managers,etc.The principal’s teaching leadership focuses on the ability of the principal as an educator.As the research leader of the school,the principal needs to have a certain influence on subject teaching.Domestic policy documents have repeatedly emphasized the leadership of principals,and formulated the standards for primary and secondary school principals,and put forward the multiple development and incentive conditions to promote the leadership of primary and secondary school principals.Principal’s teaching leadership plays an important role in the development of primary and secondary education and curriculum construction.The research of principal teaching leadership is also an important subject to explore the reform and development of basic education.This study uses literature,questionnaire,interview and mathematical statistics to carry out theoretical and practical investigation and analysis on the teaching leadership of primary school principals,so as to put forward strategic suggestions for improving the teaching leadership of primary school principals.Firstly,the literature method is used to sort out,conclude and define key terms,review the research status at home and abroad,and clarify the research direction and research focus.On the basis of theoretical analysis,the index system of principal’s teaching leadership is constructed,which includes setting teaching objectives,guiding and organizing teaching,planning teaching activities,reforming teaching conditions and monitoring teaching situation.Based on this,the questionnaire was designed around the index system,the questionnaire survey method and the interview method were comprehensively used to collect first-hand data,master the current situation of primary school principals’ teaching leadership,and summarize the existing problems,so as to put forward targeted suggestions.Through comprehensive analysis,it is found that there are some problems such as backward teaching idea,lack of communication ability and poor performance of comprehensive ability in setting teaching objectives of primary school principal’s teaching leadership.In the aspect of guiding and organizing teaching,there are some problems,such as insufficient attention of teaching leaders,lack of experience of teaching leaders and single teaching guidance methods.In the aspect of planning teaching activities,there are some problems,such as imperfect curriculum system,insufficient planning of teaching activities and lack of leading ability of curriculum setting.In the reform of teaching conditions,there are some problems such as unreasonable allocation of resources,limited growth space of teachers and poor learning environment.In the aspect of monitoring teaching,there are some problems,such as imperfect teaching quality evaluation mechanism,hindered students’ all-round development and inefficient use of evaluation mechanism.In order to solve the above problems,this paper proposes that we should conform to the new idea in setting teaching objectives and optimize teaching leadership.Improve your quality,highlight the teaching charm;Enhance comprehensive ability,enhance teaching leadership.In guiding and organizing teaching,we should respect the demands of teachers and students and enhance the ability of system reflection and reform.Accumulate teaching leadership experience and promote teaching guidance actively;Enrich teaching guidance,introduce faculty participation mechanism.In the aspect of planning teaching activities,the principal of primary school should strengthen the integration of curriculum resources and enrich the curriculum system;Stimulate students’ motivation and cultivate their interest in learning;Make good use of curriculum guidance,promote the construction of campus culture,and drive the sustainable development of the school.In the aspect of reforming teaching conditions,it is suggested that the principal of primary school exercise the right of resource allocation scientifically to effectively improve the level of teachers.Guide teachers to accumulate experience and promote their growth;Shape the learning atmosphere,improve academic performance.In the aspect of monitoring teaching,it is suggested that the principal of primary school improve the teaching quality evaluation mechanism and strengthen the teaching quality monitoring.The introduction of value-added development mode to promote the development of students;Efficient use of evaluation mechanism to promote continuous improvement of teaching quality.
