Labor education is an important component of China’s comprehensive development of education.Although there is no specific document on early childhood labor education at the national level,the newly revised "Labor Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" clearly states that the core direction of labor education is the development of individual labor literacy,which provides a reference for the value orientation of early childhood labor education in the new era.At present,the education pattern for cultivating young children’s labor literacy has not yet fully formed,and there are many problems that need to be solved urgently,especially the unclear cultivation path that needs to be focused on.Given this,it is necessary to conduct in-depth thematic research.In recent years,research on labor education has been increasing year by year,and related research has gradually moved towards the early childhood education stage,aiming to explore effective ways to cultivate children’s labor literacy and improve the quality of preschool education.The existing research mainly focuses on the meaning,value,cultivation path,and evaluation tools of young children’s labor literacy.Although some beneficial results have been achieved,the systematic nature of the relevant research is not enough,especially the feasibility of specific cultivation paths and how to effectively implement them in the education field.There is still room for exploration.This study conducted interviews with 30 teachers from 6 kindergartens in Chengdu,and evaluated the level of labor literacy of young children in the third class of M Kindergarten in Chengdu using the self-made "Evaluation Scale for Labor Literacy of Early Childhood".It examined the problems of labor education.On the one hand,the development and training of labor literacy of early childhood are not optimistic,and they have weak labor concepts,insufficient labor abilities,poor labor habits,and lack of labor spirit.On the other hand,the quality of kindergarten’s cultivation of early childhood labor literacy needs to be strengthened.Teachers have low labor literacy,lack educational wit,low integration of external resources,and little effectiveness in implementing activities.Based on this,this study preliminarily constructs and demonstrates four paths for cultivating early childhood labor literacy,supported by relevant theories such as observational learning theory,experiential learning theory,deep learning theory,and constructivist learning theory: observing labor scenes,participating in labor projects,sharing labor achievements,and praising labor spirit.And the researchers formed a learning community with cooperative class teachers and conducted a four month practical research.Through interview records,activity cases,and the use of self-designed scales,a comprehensive analysis was conducted on the level of labor literacy of young children.The results showed that: early childhood labor concepts have significantly changed,and labor awareness has sprouted;Enhanced labor ability and increased specialized knowledge;Gradually forming labor habits and willing to participate in labor;The spirit and emotional identity of labor are gradually improving.In addition,the comprehensive literacy and labor literacy of teachers have been strengthened simultaneously,and the support mechanism for cultivating labor literacy in kindergartens has gradually been established.On the basis of practical testing,educational suggestions for cultivating young children’s labor literacy should be explored and summarized: on the one hand,we should make good use of the "four paths" new paradigm of labor education,by giving early childhood the opportunity to observe and experience in real labor situations,emphasizing the free exploration process of deep participation in labor projects Guide early childhood to actively cultivate their labor literacy by sharing labor achievements,reviewing labor gains and happiness,and strengthening their emotional identification and pleasant experience of labor spirit.On the other hand,it is necessary to make good use of the "Trinity" labor education resource library,improve teachers’ labor literacy in multiple ways and forms,and construct a linkage mechanism for labor education subjects from multiple perspectives and directions,in order to promote the high-quality development of kindergarten labor education.
