Physical education teachers are a solid foundation for school physical education work.Without high-level physical education teachers,there can be no high-quality school physical education.Whether it is to comprehensively improve the quality of physical education,accelerate the modernization of education and achieve balanced development,or to ensure equal conditions and opportunities for students to receive physical education,it is necessary to strengthen the development of physical education in rural schools.The construction of rural teacher teams in Shaanxi Province is a "weakness" in basic education,and the quantity,quality,and increment cannot fully meet the development of education and the strong expectations of the people.The ancient capital of Xi’an is the largest central city in northwest China.According to the seventh national population census data of Xi’an,a considerable number of rural populations are facing physical education problems,which poses a challenge to physical education teachers.This research takes the influencing factors of faculty professional development of physical education teachers in rural elementary and middle schools in Xi’an as the research object,and takes the physical education teachers in rural primary and secondary schools in Xi’an as the research object.The research methods such as questionnaire survey,literature review,mathematical statistics are used to explore the influencing factors of the current to this section of teachers in Xi’an,and try to provide referential suggestions for the professional development of physical education teachers.The research conclusion is as follows:The gender structure and teaching experience structure of physical education teachers in rural primary and secondary schools in Xi’an are imbalanced,and the age and professional title structure of teachers are relatively reasonable.The educational structure of primary school physical education teachers and rural primary and secondary school physical education teachers in the middle school stage is relatively good.The physical education teachers in rural primary and secondary schools in Xi’an have a good grasp of professional knowledge,while some young physical education teachers and physical education teachers with shorter teaching experience have poor mastery of professional knowledge,and their mastery of general knowledge related to sports is slightly poor.They have a good grasp of professional abilities,but lack the ability to organize extracurricular or community sports activities.There is still a lack of reflective ability in teaching and research,and further improvement is needed.The overall cognitive level of professional concepts and ethics among rural primary and secondary school physical education teachers in Xi’an needs to be improved.`The motivation to participate in training is relatively subjective,and their willingness to achieve self-worth is not strong.The factors that affect the professional development of physical education teachers in rural primary and secondary schools in Xi’an are sorted according to their importance as follows: schools(8.628),teachers(4.107),government(2.831),and society(1.896).The strategy of professional development of physical education teachers in rural primary and secondary schools in Xi’an is to optimize the gender proportion structure of physical education teachers,strengthen the learning of professional knowledge and professional ability of young physical education teachers,and focus on the selection of teacher training content;schools should pay attention to the professional development of physical education teachers and optimize the working environment for teachers;teachers should raise their awareness of professional development and establish the concept of lifelong learning;the government should strengthen the supervision and management mechanism to Guarantee access to outstanding teachers;society should create a good atmosphere for physical education and support the work of physical education teachers.
