The new curriculum standard proposes to read the whole book,which is not only because reading itself plays an important role in the Chinese course,but also because the function of "reading the whole book" is of great significance to improving students’ core literacy of Chinese.The whole book reading of "Journey to the West" is one of the key points of junior middle school Chinese classroom teaching,and it is also one of the hot spots in the high school entrance examination,and has high research value.Therefore,this study takes the reading teaching of Journey to the West as an example,and carries out the reading teaching research of "why to teach","what to be taught" and "how to teach".This article consists of the following four parts:The introduction mainly introduces the origin of the paper research,summarizes and summarizes the current situation of the reading teaching research of the whole book of Journey to the West in China,and expounds the research methods and ideas.The first chapter mainly demonstrates the basis and value of the whole book reading teaching of Journey to the West.It mainly includes the promotion of the whole book by the new curriculum standard concept and the promotion of the importance to the value of the whole book can develop advanced thinking,expand cultural vision and help develop personality.The second chapter mainly combined with the present teaching practice,the "journey to the west" the whole book reading teaching situation,for the effective data analysis,comb and finishing the "journey to the west" the whole of the whole book reading teaching problems,mainly includes four aspects: the first is "journey to the west" the whole book reading teaching classroom teaching content is thin,fuzzy teaching objectives.Secondly,junior high school students read mostly shallow,and their interest in reading classical Chinese is not high.Thirdly,it is difficult for teachers to timely follow up the extracurricular reading process in the teaching process,and they cannot provide effective supervision.Finally,the whole book after reading a single form of evaluation,the lack of diversified evaluation.According to the investigation,the author proposes the implementation strategy of the reading teaching of the journey to the West for the purpose of exploring the contents of the teaching,stimulating the reading interest,interpreting the text,attaching importance to the supervision,creating the reading atmosphere,improving the evaluation mechanism and emphasizing the multiple evaluation.
