Research On The Involvement Of Group Work In The Community Integration Of "LaoPiaoZu"

With China’s urbanization process and the acceleration of population aging,the elderly population in China has officially entered a period of rapid growth starting from 2022.More and more elderly people are moving to new cities and communities with their children,which has led to the emergence of a new social group called "Lao Piao Zu drifters"Lao Piao Zu" leave their original living environment with their children,and due to age,cognitive,physical,psychological and other reasons,they face many difficulties in the process of integrating into the new life.The community is the first stop for "Lao Piao Zu" to integrate into the new environment.By helping"Lao Piao Zu" integrates into the community,social workers can also develop themselves and alleviate the current predicament when their social roles and living environment change,which is the main content discussed in this paper.The "Lao Piao Zu" studied in this paper refers to the elderly who moves their children from their hometowns to new urban communities.In this paper,questionnaire and interview research and study the "Lao Piao Zu" in community of Q City.From the perspectives of cultural differences,interpersonal status community participation level psychological dilemmas they face in the process of community integration are analyzed.In this study,8 "old drifters" was selected as the specific research objects,and their "psychosocial interaction and distress" were pre-measured before the activity.Based on the theory of social work activities for the elderly as the theoretical system support and the work mode of interactive group,six group activities were carried out in X community to meet the needs of interpersonal communication,community participation and emotional support for "old drifters".The methods of process evaluation and result evaluation are used to evaluate the design of the content of the group activity integrated into the community of "Lao Piao Zu" in this study and the effect of the group service in various aspects,so as to test the positive effect of the group activity.Finally,according to the practical experience,the theory,group activity process and social work skills are discussed,and suggestions are put forward to promote the integration of "Lao Piao Zu" Integrate into the community at the level of individual’s own family environment,community status and society.Through this practical study,it is found that a series of gradual and in-depth group activities can help "Liao Piao Zu" adjusts their inner state,better interact with the social environment,improve their ability to change their new social role and adapt to the new community,and better relieve their social interaction avoidance and inner distress.After this group activity,the eight group members selected by the author have deepened their degree of integration into the community to varying degrees.The group members themselves have gained new development,and they have received support from their families and communities as well as mutual assistance from peer groups.The psychological and social communication and distress of the "Lao Piao Zu" has been greatly improved.Because the social role and environment of the "Lao drifters" have changed after they moved to China,coupled with the limitations of their own psychological and physiological factors,the community has become their main place of activity.Therefore,the results of this study on the community integration of "Lao Piao Zu" have strong practical significance.The group working method applied in the study of "Lao drifters" can be more targeted and operational.It is of reference significance for the follow-up research on community integration of the elderly.
