Karate is a martial arts sport that originated in China,developed in Japan,and spread throughout the world.At present,karate is mainly divided into three categories in China,namely mass karate,school karate and competitive karate,and competitive karate is divided into two competition modes: group hand(competitive confrontation)and type(kata drill).Although China’s karate sports started late compared with foreign countries,they have developed very rapidly,and have cultivated Grand Slam players such as Li Hong and Yin Xiaoyan in more than ten years.This paper introduces functional stability training into karate sports by observing the daily training of karate professional teams in Shaanxi Province and visiting experts in the field of karate and physical training,and explores the impact of functional stability training on the balance ability of karate athletes.By combining functional stability training with the technical action characteristics of karate-type athletes,this paper analyzes and lists functional stability training methods that are compatible with the special techniques of karate-type athletes,so as to provide new training ideas for improving athletes’ special competitive ability and competition performance.This paper uses the literature method,expert interview method,experimental method,and mathematical statistics method.The study is based on the effect of functional stability training on the balance ability of karate-type athletes.Sixteen karate athletes of Xi’an Sports Institute were selected as experimental subjects,and the experimental subjects were randomly divided into experimental group and control group according to the principle of reciprocity.Before the experiment,the indicators of the two groups of athletes were tested,and the test results showed that there was no significant difference between the indicators of the experimental group and the control group.After 12 weeks of functional stability training and traditional training interventions,the experimental group and the control group athletes conducted statistical analysis of the test data of various experimental indicators,and explored the effects of two different training methods on the strength,balance,body function and special techniques of the core and leg muscles of karate-type athletes.The following conclusions were drawn from the study:(1)After experimental intervention,the strength of the core muscles and leg muscles of the two groups was improved,and the intervention effect of functional stability training in improving the core stability control and coordination of small muscle groups of the body was better than that of traditional strength training,but the intervention effect of traditional training was stronger in improving the maximum strength and explosiveness of muscles.(2)After the experimental intervention,the balance ability of the athletes in both groups was improved to a certain extent,but the balance ability of the athletes in the experimental group was more significant.Functional stability training has more advantages than traditional training in improving the balance of karate-type athletes.(3)After the experimental intervention,the results of the FMS test of the experimental group and the control group were improved,and the performance of the experimental group in the six independent test items of hurdle step,shoulder flexibility,straight lunge,active straight knee leg raise,trunk rotation stability and trunk stability push-ups were significantly higher than those of the control group,and the performance of the control group in the independent test item of squat was higher than that of the experimental group.(4)After the experimental intervention,the special techniques of the experimental group and the control group were significantly improved,but the performance increase of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group.Functional stability training is of great value and practical significance in improving the special technical ability of karate-type athletes.
