In the context of inheriting and developing traditional music culture,Shanxi local opera culture has sparked attention and research in the education sector.And with the promotion of the activities of Shanxi opera masterpieces in schools,the integration of Shanxi local opera into the school education system has become a proven measure to realize the inheritance and development of traditional culture.This paper focuses on the practical teaching of Shanxi local opera in the elementary school music classroom.The research object is the First Primary School of Shahe Town,Fanshi County(hereinafter referred to as Shahe Primary School),and various methods such as questionnaire survey method and field survey method are used to conduct the research.The aspects targeted by the survey research include the analysis of the music teaching materials of Shahe Primary School;the analysis of students’ perceptions and interests in Shanxi local opera;and the analysis of interviews with teachers regarding the problems in the practical teaching of Shanxi local opera.From these analyses,we concluded that: firstly,there is a lack of teaching of Shanxi local opera in the music classroom of Shahe Primary School;secondly,students’ knowledge of Shanxi local opera needs to be improved;thirdly,teachers need to continuously expand their knowledge of Shanxi local opera and innovate their teaching methods.In the practical teaching of Shanxi local opera,the author analyzed and explored the lesson preparation and teaching aspects and solved the following problems in teaching: First,how to stimulate students’ interest in Shanxi local opera.The teaching design of the Fengtai opera "The Magistrate Walks the Ox" is to teach by creating scenes,so that students can personally feel the charm of Fengtai opera,thus stimulating their interest in Shanxi local opera.Second,how to make students learn the characteristics of Shanxi local opera singing.In the teaching design of "Stealing Pumpkin" of Qitai Yangge,the discovery teaching method is adopted to stimulate students’ subjective initiative and guide them to explore the characteristics of Qitai Yangge’s singing voice on their own and to learn it in depth.There are four parts in this paper,including the introduction: the first part discusses the purpose and significance of the selected topic,the current situation of domestic and international research,the research innovation and methods,and the overview of Shanxi local opera;the second part is to investigate and analyze the teaching status of Shanxi local opera into the music classroom of Shahe Primary School and draw conclusions;the third part is to study and design the teaching practice of Shanxi local opera in the music classroom of Shahe Primary School;the fourth part is to analyze and summarize the teaching practice of Shanxi local opera in the music classroom of Shahe Primary School.
