Research On The Application Of Scaffolding Teaching Method In Junior High School Volleyball Teaching

The scaffolding teaching method,as an innovative teaching method,is flexible and diverse in its application,with each step interconnected,placing "student development" at the center,respecting the differences of each student,and creating a good environment for students to explore independently.This teaching method can not only directly improve students’ skill level,autonomous learning ability,and interest in physical education learning,cultivate students’ excellent qualities of unity,cooperation,and overcoming difficulties,but also enable teachers to better mobilize students’ interests,grasp students’ attention,enhance everyone’s sense of classroom participation,and improve teaching quality and efficiency.After literature search,it was found that the scaffolding teaching method is more commonly used in the fields of English and Chinese spoken language disciplines,but there is not much research on its application in physical education and secondary education,especially in volleyball.Therefore,the author takes the application of scaffolding teaching method in junior high school volleyball teaching as the research object,literature research,interviews,questionnaires,teaching experiments and mathematical statistics as the research methods,and selects the students in Grade 2(2)and Grade 3(3)of Jinan Lile Junior High School as the experimental objects.The experimental group used scaffolding teaching method,while the control group used traditional teaching method.Except for different teaching methods,the teaching content and progress of the two groups were completely consistent.Before the experiment,by distributing questionnaires and conducting tests,it was determined that there were no significant differences in various aspects between the two groups of students,which met the principles of selecting experimental subjects;By conducting interviews with physical education teachers and experimental control classes on campus,we aim to understand the current situation of volleyball teaching in schools and the basic situation of students.Based on this,the author has improved the design of teaching experiments,emphasizing the uniqueness of students.After 16 weeks of teaching experimental intervention,it was found that the experimental group had significantly higher levels of sports self-learning ability,sports learning interest,and basic volleyball skills compared to the control group.Moreover,there was a significant difference in the changes before and after the experiment,while the control group had no significant difference.In terms of physical health level,the difference between the two classes after the experiment was not significant,and there was no significant change in the same group before and after the experiment.Conclusion:(1)The performance of students in the class using the scaffolding teaching method in terms of independent learning ability,interest in sports learning,and basic volleyball skills is better than that of students in the class using traditional teaching methods,and significant progress has been made.Compared with traditional teaching methods,scaffolding teaching not only strengthens the learning of motor skills,but also focuses on the cultivation of learning ability,interest,and willpower,improving the quality of classroom teaching.(2)The scaffolding teaching method is beneficial for improving students’ autonomous learning ability in sports.Teachers select suitable supports in the links of "independent exploration" and "collaborative learning" in physical education class,guide students to try to analyze and solve problems with their own ability,and greatly exercise students’ independent learning ability.(3)The scaffolding teaching method can cultivate students’ interest in sports learning.Teachers enrich students’ knowledge through "entering the situation",stimulate students’ curiosity about sports,arouse students’ curiosity to learn sports skills,and continue students’ desire to explore knowledge through "independent exploration" and "collaborative learning".In the long run,learning interest will naturally be improved.(4)The scaffolding teaching method directly improves students’ basic volleyball skills.In the whole process of scaffolding teaching method,teachers will focus on "independent inquiry" and "collaborative learning" in the classroom.The whole process requires students to explore and think actively.Teachers are only temporary help and advice.By doing so,students will inevitably have a deep memory of the learning outcomes obtained through their own efforts,and their mastery of skills will also be more in line with their own situation.(5)The two teaching methods did not significantly improve students’ physical health level.Whether using scaffolding teaching method or traditional teaching method,it cannot improve students’ physical health level in a short period of time.The quality of a person’s physique is related to their self-discipline and long-term adherence to exercise,but using scaffolding teaching methods can help cultivate students’ awareness of adhering to physical exercise.(6)The scaffolding teaching method has a good compatibility with middle school volleyball teaching,and both the students themselves and the classroom situation have been improved.This study further demonstrates the advantages of using scaffolding teaching method in the field of physical education,enriches the application research perspective and practical cases of scaffolding teaching method,and provides method reference and assistance for volleyball teaching of middle school physical education teachers.Physical education teachers should strengthen the learning of theoretical knowledge,not only to maintain the normal development of physical education classes,but also to make physical education classes lively and interesting,actively respond to the call of national policies,integrate the advantages of various teaching methods,and explore the best teaching plan in combination,contributing to the vigorous development of campus physical education.This study further demonstrates the advantages of using scaffolding teaching method in the field of physical education,enriches the application research perspective and practical cases of scaffolding teaching method,and provides method reference and assistance for volleyball teaching of middle school physical education teachers.Physical education teachers should strengthen the learning of theoretical knowledge,not only to maintain the normal development of physical education classes,but also to make physical education classes lively and interesting,actively respond to the call of national policies,integrate the advantages of various teaching methods,and explore the best teaching plan in combination,contributing to the vigorous development of campus physical education.
