Abstract/Summary:
The course "Morality and Rule of Law" in junior high school,as an ideological and political course in junior high school,is a key course to implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people.Eighth grade students are in the critical period of value formation, but because of their weak ability to distinguish between right and wrong, they are prone to be affected by bad information and form wrong ideas and behavior habits.By presenting vivid and vivid example materials, teachers can provide role model education to students, which is conducive to guiding them to actively learn from role models and forming good ideological and moral concepts and behavioral habits. At the same time, the textbook "Morality and the Rule of Law" for Eighth grade volume I contains rich model education materials, which provides an opportunity for the smooth development of model education. Therefore,it has natural advantages and feasibility to study the effectiveness of model education in the first volume of "Morality and the Rule of Law" in Eighth grade. This paper studies the effectiveness of model education in the first volume of morality and the rule of law in Eighth grade.First,it explains the relevant concepts, characteristics and theoretical basis of model education, deeply analyzes the internal consistency between model education and the content of the first volume of morality and the rule of law in Eighth grade, and discusses the necessity of applying model education in the first volume of morality and the rule of law in Eighth grade.Secondly, the author used questionnaire and interview methods to carry out a field survey.Through the analysis of the survey results, the author found that there were four main problems in the application of model education in the first volume of the Eighth grade "Morality and the Rule of Law" course: model selection was divorced from students’ actual life, teachers used model education less frequently, students’ awareness of learning from models was indifferent, and the practice of model education was not valued.Thirdly, the author deeply analyzes the reasons for these problems as follows: some teachers’ educational concepts are slightly outdated, teachers’ awareness of model education is insufficient, junior high school students’ group model discrimination ability is weak, and the long-term impact of traditional Teaching to the test concepts. Finally,in response to the problems and reasons found in the research, the author proposes targeted teaching strategies such as emphasizing the selection of scientific role model education materials, emphasizing the improvement of the comprehensive quality of teachers in the course of "Ethics and the Rule of Law",stimulating students’ subjective initiative to learn from role models, and emphasizing the practical aspects of role model education.I hope this study can provide reference for the application of role model education to frontline teachers of the course "Ethics and the Rule of Law",thereby enhancing the effectiveness of role model education in the course "Ethics and the Rule of Law".
