| In the autumn of 2017,the new textbook Morality and the Rule of Law,organized by the Ministry of Education,was officially put into use nationwide.The new textbook consists of the main text and six auxiliary columns,among which the "Expansion Space" is a new column in the textbook,set at the end of each frame,is a highlight of the textbook,with the characteristics comprehensiveness,subjectivity,practicality,openness,expansion and so on.The various programs of "Expanding Space" often guide students to combine learning and thinking with knowledge and action through activities such as investigation,visit,role play,moot court,discussion,discrimination,communication and sharing,so as to cultivate students’ spirit of inquiry and practical ability.The column "Expanding Space",which has the function of "testing by heart and educating by body",emphasizes the connection between theory and real life.It is an effective practical path from "small ideological and political classroom" to "big social classroom",which helps to achieve the core quality goal and implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and educating people.In order to further highlight the application value of "Expanding Space" column in teaching,the author will carry out research on "Expanding Space" column in the textbook of Morality and Rule of Law in grade 8 through teaching examples.The first part,junior high school "Morality and Rule of Law" textbook "Expand Space" column related overview.Firstly,it briefly explains the connotation of "Expanding Space" column in the textbook.Secondly,based on the analysis of the features of "Expanding space" column,the 42 "Expanding Space" columns in the two textbooks of Morality and Rule of Law in Grade 8 are divided into: experience reflection category,reading comprehension category,problem thinking category and practical experience category.Finally,it discusses the significance of "Expanding Space" column in teaching.The second part is the analysis of the application status of the column of "Expanding Space" in the textbook of Morality and Rule of Law in junior high school.A survey was conducted on some junior middle school teachers and students of a school in a city in the form of questionnaires,and then combined with the collected questionnaire data and regular classroom observation,problems existing in the teaching process of "Expanding Space" were analyzed.The third part,junior high school "Morality and Rule of Law" textbook "Expand Space" column optimization application strategy.In view of the existing problems,the author mainly puts forward the methods to optimize the application of "Expanding Space" column from the level of educators: First,starting from changing teachers’ teaching concepts,strengthening teacher training,and digging deeply into the educational value of the column,so as to improve teachers’ professionalism in using "Expanding Space" column;Integrating experiential teaching method and activity teaching method,changing the current situation of single education method and improving students’ enthusiasm in learning the column of "Expanding Space".Secondly,improve the teaching evaluation mechanism to promote the sustainable development of students.Thirdly,develop teaching resources of basic and current politics to enrich the diversity of column content,so as to optimize the readability and usability of "Expanding Space" column.Finally,in order to provide reference for the teaching of moral and rule of law courses,the application of different types of "Expanding Space" columns is provided by combining teaching case design. |
