| Since the implementation of the policy of expanding enrollment in universities in China in 1999,the number of college graduates has shown a "rocket like" growth.From850000 in 1999 to 11.58 million in 2023,the number of college graduates in China has almost reached a historical high every year,especially in the past two years when the growth rate has significantly accelerated.The employment situation for college graduates has become increasingly severe,and the employment problem for college graduates has become more prominent.Compared to those deployed by the central government,local university graduates have obvious disadvantages in the job search process.Therefore,exploring the current employment situation and difficulties of local university fresh graduates,analyzing the causes of employment difficulties,and proposing corresponding countermeasures have significant practical significance for promoting higher quality and more full employment of local university graduates.On the basis of combing the previous research results on the "employment dilemma of local college graduates",this paper establishes the research idea of this paper,selects the structural unemployment theory,labor market segmentation theory and social governance theory as the important theoretical basis of this paper,and conducts a questionnaire survey on recent college graduates in Guilin,and selects some recent college graduates,graduating class counselors Interviews and surveys were conducted by university employment management personnel to gain an understanding of the current employment situation and intentions of graduates,the employment situation and difficulties faced by graduates,the employment guidance services and demands for graduates,and the influencing factors of the employment difficulties faced by graduates in local universities.On this basis,the author found through statistics and analysis of research data that current local university fresh undergraduate graduates face employment difficulties such as vague employment goals,insufficient employment advantages,lack of employment ability,and high employment pressure during the job search process.In response to the current difficulties in the employment process of undergraduate graduates at universities,the author analyzes the reasons from four perspectives: the government,universities,the market,and students.Firstly,the local government lacks targeted employment promotion policies;secondly,the professional and curriculum settings of local universities are detached from actual needs;thirdly,the structural imbalance of local employment markets is prominent;fourthly,the employment concept of fresh undergraduate graduates from local universities is unreasonable.Finally,the author adheres to the principle of problem orientation,starting from the problem itself and the reasons for its occurrence,and combines the efforts of multiple entities such as local universities,local governments,and local enterprises to propose the following countermeasures to alleviate the current employment difficulties of undergraduate graduates in universities.Firstly,create a "one-stop,dual guidance,and three combination" university characteristic employment brand.Secondly,implement a "full staff,comprehensive,and full process" employment promotion mechanism.Thirdly,create a job market environment of "fairness and justice+peace of mind and warmth".Fourthly,jointly create a new employment model of "targeted enrollment+targeted training+targeted employment". |
