In the 21 st century,with the rapid development of information technology,the communication between countries is becoming more and more close,and the communication needs between different nationalities and different cultures are becoming more and more urgent.Therefore,guiding students to accept diverse cultures and forming an open and inclusive cultural mentality has become the inevitable choice of basic education.Foreign literature is a window to display the essence of world culture,it can show a nation’s unique cultural features and cultural connotation,has important aesthetic value and educational significance for high school students.In the autumn of2022,the unified edition of high school Chinese textbooks will be fully used,which is a huge challenge for teaching.In the face of new changes in the selection and compilation of foreign literature in high school Chinese textbooks,how to combine the requirements of new curriculum standards,implement classroom teaching reasonably,and fully tap the teaching value of foreign literature has become a problem that needs to be seriously considered and solved.Therefore,this paper analyzes the selection of foreign literature works in the unified edition of high school Chinese textbooks,uses the method of questionnaire survey,finds out the existing problems in the current teaching,and tries to put forward the corresponding teaching strategies.This paper consists of five parts.The introduction part introduces the research background,concept definition,research significance,literature review and research content and methods of this paper.The first part introduces the selection idea and teaching value of foreign literary works in the unified compilation of high school Chinese textbooks.The second part is about the analysis of the selection of foreign literature in Chinese textbooks.Firstly,it analyzes the basic situation of the selection of foreign literature.Secondly,through the analysis of the selection,it summarizes the content characteristics of the selection of foreign literature works.The third part is about the investigation of the teaching status of foreign literary works.Firstly,it briefly summarizes the investigation process,and then clarizes the current teaching status of foreign literary works,the existing problems and the causes of the problems through questionnaire survey.In the fourth part of the thesis,it discusses how to optimize the teaching effect of foreign literary works and comprehensively improve the core quality of subjects by renewing the idea,stimulating the learning drive and innovating teaching methods.
